"Oh that's fucking hilarious!" Pidge's voice said through Lance's phone. After Keith and Shiro had left, Lance had immediately called his three closest friends, Hunk, Allura, and Pidge.

"It is not funny Pidge!" Lance whined. He had just finished explained his predicament for the next two weeks.

"So you aren't stay with me then?" Allura asked, slightly disappointed. She loved spending time with Lance and had been looking forward to the next two weeks for a while.

"Yeah, sorry Llura. Mama's not budging." Lance said with a sigh as he laid his head down on his pillow. He had finished packing and now just had to wait until tomorrow.

"I know you hate the guy and everything, but why are you so upset? You get to live with an attractive male for two weeks." Pidge said, their voice overly suggestive.

"Why is everyone saying that?!" Lance yelled. "V said I would have a boyfriend by the end of this. I. do. not. like. that. emo. mullet. I hate the guy! Why does anyone think otherwise?" Lance asked, exhausted with having the same argument over and over.

Pidge fake coughed, "Sexual tension." And coughed again.

Allura and Hunk both laughed as Lance slammed his head straight into his bed. "I'm gonna hang up on all of you." He threatened, his voice slightly muffled from being buried in his sheets.

"You called us first." Pidge pointed out. They had been creating a new programming software when Lance had decided to call with his boy problems. They had better things to do, no matter how amusing they found the situation.

"Fine, if that's how you really feel." Lance said pettily as he ended the call. Protests came from Hunk and Allura, just before Lance's room went silent as he hung up.

He glanced out his window, noticing that it was getting pretty late out. He sighed, getting up and putting clean sweat pants and a hoodie on. Then crawling back into bed, he let his mind wander.

Being stuck with Keith for two weeks was one of the worst things he could imagine. They only thing worse would be getting stuck there for three weeks!

He groaned, pulling the blankets higher up and turning around. Tomorrow was going to be exhausting and he needed to get as much sleep as possible.

Lance got about two hours of sleep. He had woken up from another nightmare shortly after falling asleep and hadn't been able to calm down the rest of the night. It didn't help that one of their neighbors had been having a bonfire and all Lance could smell was the faint smoke scent.

When the sunlight finally started to stream into his room, he pulled himself out of bed and headed to the kitchen, knowing his parents would be leaving any minute.

"Mi hijo, remember to be on your best behavior while we're gone!" Lance's mother said as she caught sight of him groggily walking into the kitchen.

She was a mother, of course she had noticed how tired he had been recently. She had guessed that his nightmares were back, but seeing as he never brought it up, she thought she might just be paranoid. Last time he was having them, he had told her, just wanting to get rid of them. Why would this time around be any different? Maybe he was just stressed with school.

"Yes mama." He said as she pulled him into a tight hug, squeezing the life out of him. "Okay, okay, can't breath!" He said, slightly overdramatic.

She pulled away with a sad smile, hating the thought of leaving him for two weeks. "Te amo hiji." She said.

"Love you to, now go before papa starts to worry about being late." He said teasingly, already noticing how twitchy his father was.

"Love you guys!" He called after them as they left, shouting it in return.

Now he just had to wait until Shiro picked him up.

Unfortunately, that time rolled around much quicker than he would have liked.

Lance grabbed his duffle when he saw the black truck pull up outside. "Bye V!" He shouted, seeing as his sister had not left yet. She was going to Acxa's after classes tomorrow.

"Bye lover boy! Have fun!" She called back from upstairs, causing Lance to roll his eyes as he made his way out to the truck.

He climbed into the passenger side, taking note that Keith wasn't in the car. "Hello again." Shiro said with a friendly smile. It kind of freaked Lance out how different Shiro and Keith were.

"Hey." Lance said back with a tired smile. He wanted to be polite, but he was exhausted. No sleeping was really catching up to him.

As they drove down a few streets, Shiro started up a conversation. "The house is a little small, seeing as it's just Keith and I, so you'll be in his room with him. That way you guys actually have to interact instead of just shutting yourselves away in separate rooms. Forced bonding time." Shiro said, amused by the look Lance was giving him.

"Great." He said sarcastically.

Shiro let out an airy chuckle. "Look, I know you and Keith don't exactly get along and you never have, but he's good kid. I think if you both just get over your own petty rivalries, you could actually be good friends." Shiro said, knowing first hand what kind of kid Keith was. He was a bit rough around the edges, but he had a heart of gold. He just liked putting walls up. And barbed wire. And steal bars.

So he was a bit closed off.

"No offense Shiro, but I don't think Keith and I could ever be friends. maybe we could act civil for two weeks, maybe, but friends isn't gonna happen." Lance said truthfully, not wanting the older male to get his hopes up.

Letting out a sigh, Shiro didn't say anything else. He had picked up that Lance was stubborn, just as stubborn as Keith, and wouldn't be convinced easily. He just had his fingers crossed that they would both change their minds over the next two weeks.
