13 - Taking Charge

Sorry this took so long to publish lmao
School is kinda stressful right now and I'm finally getting therapy for my anxiety so I should be posting more often!

"Pit! Can you hear me?!" I shouted as I flew around the palace looking for Pit in the night sky, "Pit! Are you here?!"

"(Y/n)!!!" I heard someone yell in complete relief before spinning me around to face them, "You're okay!!" It was pit and he was practically crying while clutching on to my hands, "I'm so sorry for what I did!"

"H-hey! It's... it's ok; not really what you did but, I... forgive you." I felt super awkward but was able to get the words out.

Pit seemed super relieved but quickly let go of my hands, "sorry." He mumbled.

"I-I'm really sorry for overreacting... I was just nervous and it was all new for me. I'm not really used to, that kind of stuff..." I looked down in raw embarrassment.

"Its not your fault I caused this mess! You didn't overreact." Pit grabbed my face and made my eyes meet his, "I'm truly sorry."

Oh dear heavens my soul just left my body, "it's ok really! Why don't we just forgive and forget huh?" I clapped my hands together trying to ignore my steaming cheeks. He apologized just like Dark Pit and I'm loosing my mind, "w-Why don't we head to bed now? It's very late." I held out my hand, "let's go back to the palace together."

"You sure?" He gave me wide eyes and smiled as I nodded in response. I need to get over my  touching issue and I might as well start now. He grabbed my hand and we flew across the clouds in silence as the palace was in view. We stole glances from each other and I couldn't seem to stop smiling.

"Why are you smiling so much?" Pit laughed.

"I have no idea. Maybe it's because your laurel is crooked?" I looked up at his laurel.

"What?! And you didn't think to tell me?! For shame!" He let go of my hand and tried fixing his laurel before realizing it wasn't crooked, "you liar!" He yelled with the biggest grin.

I basically squealed and took off for the palace, "I was joking! It was a joke!" I yelled as Pit was trying to grab my hand again with a devilish look on his face.

I was almost to the palace when Pit reached me and grabbed my hand where he was then able to grab my other hand. Once he had a tight grip on my hands, he spun around and threw me up into the air, "Pit!" I gasped in shock from suddenly being thrown upwards before falling back down, grabbing his hands this time to regain my balance, "the audacity to just throw me like that!" I laughed while smiling at him.

We made it back to the palace and I jumped through my window, followed by Pit, "Goodnight Pit." I said to him yawning as I jumped into my soft sheets.

"Um (y/n)?" Pit sounded nervous and hesitated before shaking his head, "never mind."

"Uhh ok... Goodnight Pit!" I said quickly before turning over in my bed and hearing him leave the room.

The next few minutes were me going over my emotions. I was so nervous yet I couldn't be happier? The moment with dark pit I had left me squirming in my bed giggling because it made my heart race so much. WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE SO HAWT- girl you need to c a l m d o w n. He may be Pits dark side but he doesn't seem so bad.

The next few days went pretty smooth after Pit and I had cleared things up with each other. I might as well call him my absolute best friend.

Alarms blared through the entire building, "This message goes out to all who are apart of the guard. This message goes out to all who are apart of the guard," I jumped up and threw on my laurel and battle clothes as the message kept playing, "Our battle for Hades is getting tight out there and he's becoming more powerful everyday. Any person among the guard is called to the training grounds immediately."
