"Wake up, baby." Taehyung felt himself being slightly shook awake. There was a warm hand gently placed on his shoulder as that familiar deep, soothing voice shook him awake.

His eyes slowly opened and were met with the blinding sun seeping through the thin slits of the curtains. He yawned as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes before looking around the room until his gaze landed on his boyfriend who was already awake and dressed with that toothy smile on his lips.

"Good morning, love." Jungkook placed a kiss to his forehead as he sat down on the bed beside Taehyung. The younger tried waking himself up more, blinking his sleepy, heavy eyes as he yawned occasionally. "Mom made breakfast."

Taehyung could only nod, his brain still not registering everything going on around him. He slowly sat up in hopes it would help wake him up, rubbing his arm as another yawn escaped his pretty lips. "What... time is it?" He asked through a yawn, covering his mouth with the back of his hand.

"Ten-thirty."

"What are you dressed for?" Taehyung questioned, his eyes and body slowly waking up from his peaceful slumber as he eyed Jungkook's outfit up and down. It was casual, nothing fancy, something the boy always wore, but to Taehyung it seemed different.

"Remember that date we talked about last night that I promised to take you on?" He asked, grabbing Taehyung's slightly cold hand in his warmer one as the younger nodded, "Well, that date starts today. So, get up, take a shower, go eat, do whatever it is you need to do to wake up before we leave."

It wasn't long before Taehyung was done showering and brushing his teeth and dressed before he was downstairs. He was met with a mixture of amazing smells that came from the kitchen.

In the spirit of total honesty, this was all so new to Taehyung. He was never met in the mornings with breakfast, never met at noon with lunch, or met in the evening with dinner when he was living with his parents.

How he survived as a baby was beyond him and he wondered about it on a daily. But when he stepped foot into the kitchen, he saw Jungkook sitting at the kitchen table across from his dad, and his mom at the stove cooking.

He was still a little sleepy as he walked deeper into the kitchen. Jungkook's mom heard his feet pattering and the sound caused her to turn her head and see Taehyung. She smiled warmly at him as she placed some bacon on his plate.

"Good morning, Taehyung," she greeted him, and Taehyung returned the smile as Jungkook stood up and poured himself some more orange juice, "Here's your plate, dear."

"Thank you." He smiled once more as he grasped the plate that Jungkook's mom held out for him. He sat down at the table beside Jungkook, as the ravenette's dad scanned the newspaper.

"Want some coffee, Tae?" He heard Jungkook's mom ask from the other side of the kitchen, and before he could answer, Jungkook shook his head.

"No. No coffee," he stated, pointing a finger at Taehyung who couldn't help but snicker at him, tilting his head while his mom sent him the evil-eye, "You have anxiety."

"I'm actually good. Thank you though," Taehyung said sweetly as he playfully elbowed his boyfriend before he began eating.

"Alright, sweetie." Mrs. Jeon began cleaning the kitchen just as her husband stood up to help. The couple at the table ate and shared small talk to pass the time.

When the pair was done with their breakfast, they helped clean up before Jungkook's mom shooed them out of the kitchen and through the front door. The couple laughed lightly as they made their way down the hall and to the elevator.

Jungkook pressed the button before turning to his boyfriend and sticking his hands in his pockets. He could tell Taehyung was thinking because of the way he was staring at the closed elevator door with his arms folded over his broad chest.

The ravenette playfully kicked his shin to grab the younger's attention. "What're you thinking about, baby?" He gently asked when Taehyung looked over at him with a soft smile.

He shrugged his shoulders, because there were a million thoughts going through his head at this moment. "I don't know. I guess nothing in particular," he answered quietly.

"I hope they're good thoughts," Jungkook said with a smile as the elevator emitted that familiar ping before the doors slid open for the couple to enter and they walked in.

"I... I think they are," Taehyung responded softly as he leaned his back against the elevator wall, arms still crossed as he looked down at his feet and Jungkook looked at him confusedly.

"What do you mean?"

Taehyung gazed up at him and shrugged lamely once again. "I don't know. I guess all of this is so new, you know? I've never had a proper family. My parents never wanted me around. We never spent time together from what I remember," he replied.

Jungkook nodded and his eyes softened as he understood what Taehyung was meaning, "I know, love."

"I mean, I've locked myself in my room almost my whole life because they didn't want me around and I didn't want to be around them. We've never had meals together, my mom or my dad were never there for anything. They were only there to use me as their punching bag," he stated.

"Look at it like this, Tae," Jungkook began, standing in front of the younger with a soft bunny-like grin, "At least you'll get a feel and taste of what it's like to be part of a family. And a real one, too."

"I know. I guess the feeling's just new and it's going to take time getting used to," the youngest mumbled, resting his head on the wall behind him, "But, your parents really are amazing. I hope you know that."

"I know." Jungkook nodded with a cheeky grin, and it had Taehyung giggling as his arms wrapped around the older's toned waist, "But you're amazing, too. And I hope you know that."

They stepped out of the building hand in hand as they approached Jungkook's car in the rather large parking lot. "So, where are you taking me on this date?" Taehyung queried innocently as Jungkook opened the door for him.

"That's for me to know, and for you to find out," he replied before pecking his lips and shutting the door once he was in. He made his way around and got in, starting the car after pulling on his seatbelt. "But, hopefully you'll like it."

"Of course I'll like it," Taehyung told him, "Especially if it's coming from you. I'll love anything you do for me, because it's the thought that counts."

Taehyung's words seemed to have boosted Jungkook's confidence some more, because he seen the way he straightened up in his seat as he pulled out onto the main road with a grin plastering his pretty pink lips.

"You're amazing."
