Nayeon POV

It was hard for me to sleep, it took me almost an hour to go into slumber. But after sleeping for hours I wake up and look at Jeongyeon. Her eyes were closed.

“Psst, Jeong, are you awake.” I whisper in case she is sleeping.

“Yup. Couldn’t sleep.”

“So you laid there when I was sleeping?”

She sighs and turns her body to face me. “Yeah.”

“You should have woken me up if you were bored.” 

“No, I wanted you to sleep well.” She says, 

I laughed, “Well should we talk about you then?”

She laughed too, “Yeah.” She got off the couch and sat on the one I laid beside my legs. She sighs, “So, where do you want to start?”

“From the beginning.” 

“Ok.” She took a deep breath in and let it out. “I don’t remember much but I was born a human but with a special ability, of course the ability to turn into a wolf whenever I want.”

“Wait when you turn into a wolf does your clothes rip?” I asked since every time she left the house she would leave her clothes. 

“No, they would turn into fur but I took them off before I turned because if my fur gets dirty then the clothes would get dirty.”

“Oh.” That explains it. How nice of her.

I nodded. “When I was a little kid I accidentally transformed and when my parents saw me, they were scared, seeing a baby wolf in the room of their child. They tried to kill me but I ran out of the house. The house was near the woods so I ran there, not looking back. I never knew that would be the last time I’d see them.” Jeongyeon looks down and rubs her hands.

I saw that so I held her right hand. She looks at me and smiles and I smile back. “So basically I lived in the woods my whole life. I met a wolf family and adapted to living as a wolf. It was until I was 18 when I gained control of my abilities. When my wolf family saw me transform back into a human they were scared. My wolf family always taught me that people were horrible, enemies who kill wolves. So when they saw me they also tried to kill me.” 

Tears were falling down her face. She wipes them and continues, “So once again I ran. Lived by myself as a wolf since. I have fought many other wolves and people for my survival. I never lived as a human or out of the woods because I was scared of what was there. I never trusted anyone because they would try to kill me. I understand though, a freak like me should be killed.”

There was a waterfall of tears running down her cheeks. Though I was in pain I sat up and hugged her. 

“Don’t say that. You are amazing. No one is like you. You are special, you should know that.” 

“That’s not what they said, they said I’m a monster, a freak.” Her head was down.

I let go of her and held her chin up then held her face by her cheeks. “Jeongyeon, who cares what they think. They only say that because they know that you are powerful.”

“Is that true?” She sniffles, her eyelids were red from all the crying.

I let go of her face. “Yes.”

Then she holds my face, pulling me towards her face and kissing me. I was shocked at first but then joined the kiss. We both close our eyes and pull each other closer with a hug. As we kissed I could feel her tears brush my lips as it fell.

This is what i’ve been missing all my life, love.

I never knew I needed someone to be with so much. I’m glad it’s someone I like, and I'm glad I found her. 

We let go of the kiss and stare at each other directly in the eyes. I couldn’t help but smile and laugh, soon she laughed and together we just laughed. 

I pull her towards me and lay down on the couch. She lays down beside me and we cuddle. I turn around to face away from her and she wraps her arms around me. 

The pain from the injuries was my last worry, I didn’t even think of them. All I thought was Jeongyeon, and that I wanted to be with her my whole life.

“Are we dating now?” She suddenly asks which confuses me.

“What do you think?” I turn my head to see her.

She looks at me, “Yes…….?” 

I couldn’t help but laugh at her silliness. I turn my body towards her and pull her into a tight hug. “Of course.”

“Heh, yay.” She smiles and hugs me.

Jeongyeon POV

It’s been months since I’ve gotten the love of my life, my world. 

In those months Nayeon has healed and has taught me some things that people use. I learned how to use a phone and a computer, I even got myself a phone. I also got to learn that not all people are bad. Knowing that now I feel bad for that guy I ran away from the mall. 

Nayeon and I agreed that we shouldn’t tell Momo and Heechul about my abilities for now. We don’t know when or if we will tell them. But we did tell them that we were dating and they were happy for us. They even came to our house to celebrate. We ate pizza and it was the first time I tried it. It tasted good.

It was night time now and of course I was roaming the forests in my wolf form. But I stopped at the hill that Nayeon and I used to meet back then. I gazed at the stars and breathed in the fresh air.

In the distance I hear another wolf howl. It makes me jump at first but I quickly calm down. Though I might not be scared of humans I’m still scared and don’t trust other wolves. Especially the ones who want to hurt Nayeon. I’ll protect her no matter what.

Talking about Nayeon I hear the sound of leaves crunching at the bottom of the hill. Of course it was Nayeon who decided to walk around the forest too. 

As I couldn’t talk as a wolf I barked at her. I ran to her as fast as I could, jumping then transforming back into a human and landing the jump hugging her.

“Nayeon!” I let go of the hug, “How was work?”

“It was normal as usual.” She then kisses me on the lips, making me blush. I swear I blush every time she does that. It never gets old.

“How about Momo? How’s she?” 

“She’s doing fine.”

“Good, good. Can I come to work with you tomorrow?” I ask.

“Well I need to tell you something.” I tilt my head to the side. “I think we should move houses.” 

“W-what? But this is our home. So many memories created here, how can we leave all of it?” I was shocked. I didn’t want to leave the house and the forest.

“I know, but going to work would be so much easier and we can go out to places more often.”

“B-but.” 

“Please Jeong, we can come here again once and awhile. Please~” She holds my shoulders and pouts like a puppy. She’s too cute.

“Aw, how can I say no to that?” 

She smiles, “Really?” 

“Yeah.” I hold up a finger. “Only if we come here once and awhile.”

“Okay!” She says cheerfully and I laugh and tap her nose.

“Let’s go home now.” I say and hold out my arm. She holds my hand and together we walk back home.
