We arrived at Katolis, we knew we had to wait for later to attack, so, for now we just hid in the bushes, looking for the perfect place to make a camp.

We were walking through the forest, but suddenly we hear a twig snap, and right after, a mans voice yelling "C-come out in the name of king Harrow!"

He came closer and closer, and suddenly he gets a glimpse of one of our elves, and starts running.

Runnan turns to Rayla and quickly gives her a command to follow the man. She does as he said and leaps from tree to tree, chasing the man down, the rest of us were waiting for any other noises, we heard nothing but silence, so we continued until we finally found a good place to camp.

All of the elves vere getting their tents up, and getting ready for the evening.

I myself just finished building my tent as I heard footsteps approaching us. I turned around, and on the other side of the camp I saw Rayla, guess she came back from her mission, both of her blades were covered in red, so I just assumed that it was blood.

"Good job" I faintly heard Runnan say to Rayla.

"Yeah, I used both of them!" She answered, showing Runnan her blades, and that answer just seemed a little odd to me, I don't know why.

After Runnan gave Rayla a peace of cloth to clean her sword with, I saw her coming my way.

"Runnan said that we should get ready for the binding thingie" she said not making eye contact.

"Oh, alright, I'll be right there" I said, and Rayla gave me a forced smile...I guess she doesn't feel good about killing that dude.

We were all standing in a circle, Runnan was going around the circle, binding us all, with these bindings we promise to our fellow moonshadow elves, and the whole Xadia, that we are not going to fail this, and fully commit to this mission...

After the ceremony we were making our way back to our tents I was walking with Rayla, and I was really curious how did it went back there, when she had to kill that man, so I started a conversation.

"So, how was it? Your first victim, that is. That was your first time, right?" I said, trying to sound even a little friendly.

"Y-yeah, Pffffff, it was easy-peasy! 10/10 would do it again!" she said with an akward smile, I could see guilt in her eyes, and then it hit me.

"You let him fucking go, didn't you?" I said, now with a little anger in my voice.

"I-i....I'm so, so sorry" she said in a hushed tone, and I could see that she really felt guilty, but this could really fuck up the whole mission, and we could all die.

"Oh my God" I said holding my head in my hands "We have to tell them, I'm going to tell them or you go tell them!" I said looking up at her, slightly panicking, but still angry as hell.

"I can't (Y/N), they are not going to allow me to take part in this mission, they will hate me forever!" I could see some tears forming in her eyes.

"You really should've thought about that before! They are going to find out anyway!" I said turned away with a sharp turn and stormed off to my tent.

I was about to go to Runnan and tell him everything, but I guess the Humans got ahead of us. We all heard horses coming closer and closer. Thank God that Runnan acted fast and used magic to hide us.

The humans came to us, but, lucky us, they didn't notice that we were actually here, they slowly started to go away...except for one man who stayed a second longer, watching the place we were standing, it was the man that Rayla was supposed to kill.

Oh, Runnan is not going to like this.

When the last human disappeared in the forest, the magic that was holding us invisible ran out, and we were all visible again.

Rayla came forward and approached Runnan "I can explain, I'm so sorry"

"You lied to me, you lied to everyone!" He looked so mad, Rayla just stood there, without words.

Runnan sighed and looked Rayla straight in the eyes "I think we need to talk, follow me!"

Rayla didn't take her eyes off the ground, she followed Runnan Into the Forest.

I didn't really think about it much. I should get ready for the attack, I was so pissed at Rayla, I needed to use up my energy somewhere, so I decided to go a little further in the forest, away from the camp.

When I decided that I was far enough, I took out my blades and just charged at a tree, I just hit it again and again, untill I just ran out of stamina, I pressed my back against the tree, and just chilled there for a while. I thought about random things, like what is my dad doing right now, and I wonder what would happen now if I hadn't went on this mission.

I took out my blade sharpener and started to ready up my blade. When I decided that it was enough, I went back to the camp. And just in time too.

Runnan had come back, but I didn't see Rayla anywhere, and to be honest I couldn't care less.

"Can you handle taking out the prince by yourself?" He came up to me and asked.

"Sure, but why?" I was honoured about the 'solo mission' but I was a little confused as well.

"Just a change of plans" he simply said, now turning to everyone else "Alright, get ready assassins! It's time to go!" He said and everyone nodded their heads.

Here we go, I am so fucking ready for this!
