"Is she okay?"
"I think she's waking up."
"Shhh!"
I woke to a couple voices sounding beside me. There above me stood Cami and Chase.
"Hey, you're finally awake!" Chase exclaimed.
Everyone was grinning like I haven't been awake in ages.
"What happened? I asked puzzled.
"You don't remember? Cami asked. "You passed out last night at the party."
Passed out? Why would I have passed out?
"Really, no wonder my fucking head is pounding." I grumped.
"Maybe I should leave to let you rest unless you want me to stay and help you. If there's anything you need, just text, call, or have Cami do that." Chase stated.
"Okay I will. Chase, I'll be fine."
"I have a project to work on with Zoey and told her I'd go mini golfing with her today after school. If something goes wrong, don't hesitate to let me know."
"Chase, you're like my brother. You really think I'm not gonna keep you updated? I'm probably just gonna sleep all day anyway."
"We can't Cat, remember today's our day with Ma!"
My head was pounding so much, that I didn't even wanna get up and move. I could barely remember anything from last night. No matter how hard I tried to think about how the night went, my mind stayed as blank as an unanswered question.
"Shit, that's today?"
"Yeah! Remember? Today's Friday!" Cami exclaimed, clearly furious with me.
