I made my way to my room where I set my script on my desk to finish later before I grabbed my jacket, keys, phone, wallet, and earbuds before I shoved them in my pocket. I was about to walk out the door before my father's request repeated itself in my head. I backtracked until I was in front of a familiar door. I lightly knocked on it in order to avoid waking the two sleeping demons that we down the hall.

"Azalea?" I called after I didn't get a response.

"Hold on," I heard her softly say. "What?" she called out louder.

"Ooh, Azzy, did you sneak a boy in there? Do I need to tell-"

The door opened, revealing an annoyed Azzy. "What do you want, Addison?"

Ignoring her, I stood on my tip-toes and looked over her, scanning her room for any "guests". "Addison what are you-"

"Hello? Secret boy-toy, where are you?" I asked in a sing-song voice as I slid past her into her room, looking behind her curtains for a dramatic flair.

"Addison! Fermare! (stop) Gosh, you're so fastidioso (annoying)."

"Thanks, sis, love you too," I said as I plopped down onto her bed where her laptop was, and though it was opened to a shopping website, the little green light next to the camera told me everything I needed to know. We locked eyes, and I could see the pieces fall into place as she realized that I knew what was going on. All at once, she lunged at me while I grabbed her computer and opened up her Skype app, revealing Josh, shirtless as he sat in front of his screen, trying to holding laughter as he witnessed our sibling bickering.

"Hi, Josh!" I said in a high pitched voice as Azalea tried to wrestle the computer out of her hands, but I simply stood up, too tall for her to reach it.

"Addison, I swear if you break my computer my foot will be so far up your culo (butt) that you'll-"

"Oh, Azzy, that's no way to speak in front of-"

I was interrupted by her punching me in my lower ribs, causing me to hunch over in pain as she easily grabbed the computer and shoved me in the direction of her door. I heard Josh laughing. "Josh, man, run while you can. My sister's a...nightmare," I wheezed out as I let her push me all the way out of her room. "You play dirty, you know my ribs are messed up-"

"What do you want, Addison?" she asked, annoyance in her voice and anger in her eyes.

I sobered up and hooked my arm around her neck before I buried my fist into her curled hair. "Ah, relax, I was just messing with you. It's my job as your brother to embarrass you at least a little bit."

"Yeah, yeah," she said as she pulled free, amusement replacing some of the annoyance. "Is that all you came for because if so, I'm busy."

"I can see," I said as I wriggled my eyebrows, causing her to flip me off before she turned to duck back into her room. "Wait, Azzy, for real, Papa wants you to check your text messages. Why? I don't know. There, now he can't say that I didn't tell you, because I definitely just did."

"Yeah, yeah, I will, bye," she said before she closed the door in my face. I grinned to myself.

I was so annoying. And I had absolutely no shame.

I made my way out of the apartment and to the subway. It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday afternoon, but I didn't complain. I sent Ky a text telling her that I was on my way to which she instantly responded. Just like Padre had said, I felt electricity move through me, crackling in my veins. I was beyond excited to miss her and though I'd seen her a mere two days ago, it felt like I hadn't seen her in years. I was just excited to hold her and hear her laugh.
