The next morning I was dreading seeing Leo again. I've been thinking a lot about...well everything. And the more I thought the angrier I felt. I get being confused about your feelings, but he shouldn't be leading me on like this. Because now I actually genuinely like him. So much. I shook my head. Whatever. I said I'd be happy this week so that's what I'll do. There's no time to be mad. I'm leaving anyway. Leo will be my past.
I sighed, sitting up in bed and looking over towards my alarm. I shut it off, before glancing back towards the side of my bed where the duck stuffed animal that Leo had gotten me a while back sat.
"When you miss me just squeeze this duck. But don't miss me too much." I remembered Leo saying.
I curled up my fingers, feeling vulnerable as I glared over at the duck looking at me innocently, cute little blushes along its cheeks.
"What are you looking at?" I mumbled towards it, as if it were magically gonna start talking to me. It looked at me innocently. I must be loosing it. I reached over, flipping the duck so it was facing the wall before standing up and getting ready.

"Hold still." Eli said behind me as I sat down in front of him. Once in a while he likes doing my hair and hearing the "compliments" I get when I come home. It's cute so I really don't mind it. Mia used to always tease me about how much I try to make my brother feel like he's helping me in some way, but I liked seeing Eli's face light up. Even if some of his hairstyles were questionable..."Ta-da." Eli gave me permission to look at the mirror in front of me. It wasn't that bad this time thankfully. Two low pigtails. I did look significantly younger though due to the fact that my face isn't the slimmest, but I'll live.
"Wow. It's so cute!" I tilted my head to see the different angles.
"Oh wait!" Eli rushed out of the room. I waited patiently, looking at myself in the mirror.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door and I stood up slowly, walking over and opening the door.
"Hello." I moved out of the way as Leo walked in.
"Woah. Have you seen Haley by any chance, little girl?" Leo laughed as he walked through.
"Haha. Very funny." I rolled my eyes playfully as I shut the door behind him.
"No seriously. You look cute." He smiled, reaching over and twirling the end of my pigtail with his finger.
I narrowed my eyes towards him. I feel like he's being sarcastic.
The sound of Eli's footsteps sounded rapidly as he rushed towards the door before pausing, "Oh hello!" He waved cutely towards Leo, with a heart shaped clip in his hand.
