"Do you know what it takes to be considered strong?" My sister, Courtney, asked.

I shook my head. "Hindi po. What is it?" I asked curiously.

She looked at me. "It's the acceptance of your own fears, and you're just a human who can feel pain. And only those who can overcome fear are considered the strongest."

Ten years later...

I quickly jumped on a nearby tree to avoid it. My breathing becomes heavy habang tumatagal ang laban namin ni Doris.

I felt another attack that was directed at me which made me leave the tree that I'm staying in quickly. My hands aggressively moved into the air and created an ice wall rushing onto her, but she hastily confronted it with another ice wall and both made a huge impact as it collided.

I blocked her attack using ice energy still in between my hands. She started attacking me in different directions where I dodged everything.

Bigla siyang nawala sa harapan ko and I took it as a chance for me to cope up with her speed and find an opening. I was just about to face my back where I felt her presence when I saw several ice spikes that were centimeters away from me. She did a turn while swinging an ice sword and before the spikes and sword pierce me, I think of a way to counter.

I used my left hand to control the ice spikes and made them stop, while my right hand, which is covered by ice energy, blocked Doris' attack.

I saw an opening and immediately made my way to her. Just when I was about to launch an attack, she smirked at me as if she saw me coming.

"You lost." She cunningly said to annoy me, a smirk still plastered on her face.

I gritted my teeth and saw blood dripping from my legs. I put a stop on the ice energy emitting from my hands and got up, trying to freeze my wound coming from the slash. However, it was still an advanced technique that I couldn't master, so I just ended up frosting the blood dripping.

"What time is it already?" I asked her.

She took out her pocket watch. "It's nearly eight." She unsummoned her ice sword and looked at me. "Go clean yourself up."

I nodded and stood up. I went to our cabin which is partly made of ice, although it's not dangerously cold.
