flapping away to glory,
forming a small trinity.

I listen to them
soft bronze bells, ready to ring,
three in a row they now sing.

I feel my heart beat,
skipping every three seconds,
to the sound of your music.

I hear you whisper,
those three words I longed to say,
now pleading for me to stay.

I remember those
triplets of flowers you gifted,
like our regrets they drifted.

I smell memories
one two three, coming at me,
left over uncertainty.

I let myself loose,
for my thoughts need to rest more,
third time's a charm, there they go.
