"In commemoration of Earth Day"

air.
pure and fresh.
a blanket of purity
surrounding mind and flesh,
omnipresent to sustain life
keeping us sane and bright.

water.
still and calm.
reality's deepest fantasy
soothing like a balm,
to relieve nature's mind
by keeping the earth alive.

fire.
filled with rage.
burning high with glory
ready to turn a new page,
empty at first like a void
filled next with sins of war.

land.
soft and dry.
nurturing flora and fauna
the apple of nature's eyes,
warm blanket spread across
turning shades of hues and frost.

sky.
vast and high.
spread across the horizon
like dreams in my eyes,
a reflection of humanity
far distant from reality.

earth.
our mother.
seeking these five elements
hoping to come together,
to form a sweet home for us
even after suffering enough.
