An ode to PoetsPub

Happy 5th Anniversary, Poets Pub.

Tired of the busy city life
you yearn for a quiet place,
that echoes a roar of silence
that reflects a safe solace,
hence, you keep on looking
for peace, beauty and grace,
until you come across heaven,
that stirs your soul within.

I came across that heaven
five golden years ago,
hidden in a concrete jungle
hidden with talent foremost,
a lovely haven for poets
it welcomed all but ego,
a Pub in disguise for many,
it welcomed love a plenty.

We entered the disguised pub
surrounded with wooden walls,
that smelled of good memories
that tasted success of them all,
a home away from home
I found a family at the bar,
who offered me a seat so high,
that I could never really bid goodbye.

Now I offer this seat to others
to explore some poetry's hues,
'cause this is the place for love
'cause this is the place for you,
where you spread your wings wider
and open horizons fresh and new,
only to celebrate with your peers,
who are always there to cheer.
