Hey everybody! Here's another chapter of Daughter of Apollo! Remember, I own nothing of the Percy Jackson series by the amazing Rick Riordan. I only own characters created by me. And this is my story, so please do not take it from me. OK, here's Daughter of Apollo.
Spencer's POV
After we got out of the taxi, we walked about a mile before we came to a hill with a huge pine tree at the top. I looked over to Veronica, but she wasn't there. My head spun around to find Veronica near the tree. She motioned me to come up and I reluctantly followed.
Beyond the field was a beautiful strawberry patch, and a big white house. A smile grew immediately on my face. It was so pretty. What a perfect disguise for a freaking mental hospital. We started making our way down the hill, towards the house.
"Chiron will want to see you." V said as we were stepping on the front porch of the huge house.
"Who's Chiron?" I asked. She gave me a smirk and kept walking. I rolled my eyes and followed. She loved to do this to me. Mr. Welks came out of a door in a hallway. Wait, Mr. Welks? Veronica looked over her shoulder at me and smirked again.
"Hello Spencer." Mr. Welks said.
"Hello Mr. Welks." I replied respectfully.
"No Spencer, please, call me Chiron. I see you have bags. I'll get someone to help you to the Hermes cabin." Mr. Wel- Chiron said. Wait, Hermes? Isn't that a Greek god? I'll just roll with it. I don't think I have any room to judge anything considering I have no idea what is going on.
Chiron must have seen the look on my face. "Here, you must be confused. Come. You need to watch the orientation video." He started to wheel in to a dark room. I sat in a chair and Chiron started watching the video.
Basically, it said the Greek gods, the ones that were from ancient Greece and that people worshiped, were real, and so were demi-gods, their offspring that the gods had with mortals. And I was one.
Soon the video was over and Chiron turned to me.
"So, what do you think?" he asked, anxious to hear my response. I shrugged.
"What does that mean?" He asked.
I shrugged then said, "I mean, I don't know, It makes sense with what's been going on with all of this monster shit lately."
"Well, come along then. I want you to meet some campers." He wheeled out of the door while I followed. Chiron stopped near a door.
"Hold on. This blasted thing is annoying." He said. He took his blanket off, and what happened next, was absolutely amazing. He turned into a horse, but with the upper body of him. I think we studied these once, a centaur.
"Much better." He said. Then, he started walking, or trotting. I just followed, staring in amazement.
We came to a bunch of cabins, in a U kind of shape. We came to cabin one, which was actually in the middle of the U shape. On the outside of the U, there were little cabins spread throughout the field.
"This is Zeus's cabin. Next to it is Hera's. On the other side is Poseidon's, Ares', Apollo's, Hephaestus', and Hermes. On the right, Demeter, Athena, Artemis, Aphrodite, Dionysus."
We had stopped in front of a cabin on the boy god's side.
"This is the Hermes cabin. It's where you'll be staying until you're claimed. Hermes is--" I cut Chiron off.
"Hermes is the god of thieves, and messaging." I said. He nodded and opened the door.
"New camper!" someone yelled. Everyone was soon standing at the door. Two boys pushed their way through the crowd. They were almost identical.
