Chapter 11: Need a hand?

I slammed the door close and enter the store. "You're late" Uncle Peter exclaimed. I look around and face him.

"I'm sorry I was a little distracted" I apologize and put on my vest.

"I hope that Tommy kid doesn't trouble you" He chuckled. "He did more than trouble me, I never understand how did we became friends" I exclaimed and went behind the counter.

"I remember how much you like that boy so much" Uncle Peter teases. 

"I remember how annoying he can be tho" I stated and smile at him.

Uncle Peter chuckled and went back to the store to grab some stocks.

I pulled out my phone and saw 5 text message from Jacob.

J: Hello..... 3:30pm

J: You there? 4:00pm

J: Em? 4:15pm

J: Am I being ignore now? 4:30pm

J: Am I too lame to be ignore now? 5:15pm

I snickered and shake my head. Is he being real now?

Me: Sorry for the late response, I had errands to run

J: She's alive!!! Finally

Me: Dramatic much?

J: No, I'm just glad you're response to my text 😊

Me: Lol!

J: What's up?

Me: Nothing much, just arrived at my uncle's store

J: Can I pay a visit?

Me: Absolutely no.

J: Wow, that's harsh

Me: So what did you do today?

J: Help my dad at his workplace, attending meetings, clients and all. Kinda exhausting

Me: That sounds like fun.

J: Is it too late to ask a genie for 3 wishes?

Me: Do you owned a magic lamp?

J: Umm... No... do you mind looking it for me?

Me: Then yes... you're too late

J: Ouch! That's hurt.

Me: Does this mean you'll be offended to everything that I'll says to you

J: If I says yes, will you start to treat me as equal?

Me: Nope.

J: You surely play hard to get.

Me: Hahahaha... I'm more than that actually

J: Tell me then.

Me: Nope

J: You're making this all hard

Me: Pfft... what?

"Anything funny Em" Uncle Peter interrupted. I looked up from my phone and stare at him.

"Nah... Just some stupid stranger demanding for things" I show him my phone by shake it.

"Well hope it's not a scammer, that's all" He said. I nodded. My phone ring and I checked it.

J: You're not making this easier girl

Me: Who says I'm making this whole thing easy?
