Assorted sounds of birds, wind and the warm glare from the sun surrounded Soonyoung's body; giving him an indirect hug as the man slept upon lavender sheets with back accents. Personally, the pattern was too dark and vamp inspired for the older but for a certain fairy, they were perfect. Regardless of whether he particularly liked the fabric design or not, the blond dancer's face was cuddled into the loose blankets beside him; his lower half also covered with the same blanket, leaving his upper body exposed.
It wasn't till the clock struck eight-fifty-four until the blankets upon Jihoon's already unmade bed shuffled; small groans following the shuffled sheets. It took the dancer a few seconds to comeback to reality after his deep sleep. Upon first glace of the room and sheets, the boy was confused beyond belief. He questioned his past, present and future actions at the unfamiliar surroundings; searching for an answer as to why and how he ended up here. However, after a short period of panic, the memories of last night's happenings had finally settled in his newly awoken brain. From not being able to sleep, asking the fairy to use the bathroom, all the way to Jihoon's pleading question, it all came back. Unlike how most would have felt, Soonyoung didn't feel the emotions crash in like a wave or rise in like a flood. Instead, it flew through his mind and body like a light breeze; tickling his senses ever so slightly. The dancer wouldn't explain the sensation as bad nor good. The feeling, the stimulation; it felt content. It almost felt warm. Nonetheless, he had not one ounce of regret for the actions that had occurred beneath and on top of the sheets last night.
However, as he felt the gust of emotions flow through him, that was when Soonyoung realized the sheets beside him were vacant and cold. Jihoon had left. At his realization, the blond jumped into a sit and looked over to his left only to confirm that he, in fact, was all alone. Before the boy could even accumulate one negative thought about what the familiar could possibly be thinking, Soonyoung found a small square note with his name written neatly and with care; a small, yellow sunflower residing beside his name. With curiosity filling his head and body, the messy haired boy reached over and snatched the note quickly with interest; wondering what could possibly written inside the card. Was it Jihoon's message of regret? Of thanks? A guide or map to the bathrooms in the manor?
All of his questions were answers when the boy finally took his pale hands and opened the card stock; reading every word, letter by letter.
'Hello! Or I guess I should say good morning. anyway, before you think of anything bad or weird, I didn't leave because I was embarrassed or anything of the sort. I had to leave to file the daily morning report. I know you don't know what that is but it's too hard to explain in a note so remind me another day to teach you. Since this is getting a little lengthy, let me get to the real message.
Thank you. Recently, I haven't gotten a lot of sleep, let alone deep sleep. Having someone to keep me company while I sleep generally makes the experience better and more resting for me. Usually, I don't ask others for help in that way because honestly, it's embarrassing, but i guess sleepy me had no personal boundaries or filter. I needed that and you gave it to me without mean words or a tease. I owe you one.
Love, Jihoon.'
A smile rode the corners of Sonnyoung's soft lips throughout the whole letter, every word making the smile expand millimeter by millimeter. Although the college student couldn't hear Jihoon's voice through his words, he could hear the short fairy's voice and tone as he read. It sounded grateful and kind, sweet and honest, pretty and pink. However, the biggest trait that meant the most to Soonyoung was his transparency. The dancer could feel how vulnerable and defenseless the boy felt just from his words alone, let alone the voice that was generated in his head. He could almost feel the trust through the page.
