BACKSTORY | haneul is the only daughter of a japanese painter and korean business mogul. to most who knew them, they seemed like the perfect fairytale family. but, when she was seven years old, her parents separated, and she moved with her mother to osaka, japan. haneul was always the odd one out in japan- she looks more korean than japanese, speaks korean, and spent her summers in seoul with her father. so, from a young age, she came to find a comfort in music, and knew when she was older, she wanted to provide the same comfort to others. her father put a lot of pressure on her to begin modelling, but she explained to him her dream of becoming an idol. she auditioned for source music after the debut of gfriend, with her father's permission, mostly due to the pure image the group had. but, as she got older, the company realized she had a lot more potential, and transferred her to bighit to explore more concepts and to get better training.
PERSONALITY | - COMPETITIVE :: haneul is incredibly competitive, even if she is terrible at what she's trying to do. she would challenge an experienced rapper to a rap battle, lose terribly and then challenge someone else, without shame.. she doesn't back down, ever. - CHARMING :: haneul could enter a room and befriend half the people in it in minutes. she knows how to get what she wants, but also is extroverted and loves talking to people. - SELF CONSCIOUS :: while she might pretend to be confident, she is her own worst enemy and thinks that she doesn't deserve to be an idol because she's just a pretty face. - SMART....
