Death Is Near

Sorry, this chapter is short. But that is only to make you excited for the next chapter.

This chapter does take place on Earth 38.

Barry's POV

"What do you mean you don't have your speed?" Kara asked me.

"I lost my powers." I say.

"How?" She asks me.

"I don't kn-" Oh, I remember.

Start Of Flashback

I exit, returning to Earth 1 to Iris with a gun, pointing at me.

She shoots me as I get launched back into the breach, entering an unknown Earth.

End Of Flashback

"Iris did it. Whatever gun she had must have dampened my speed." I tell her.

"How long until you get it back?" She asks me.

"I have no clue. But, good thing is, I am stuck here with you." I say with a smile.

She giggles and nods.

"I guess so. So, scarlet speedster, wanna head to the D.E.O?" She asks me.

"Sure, let's go." I say.

She picks me up and flies to the D.E.O.

Once we get there, she sets me down.

"Wow, that was fun." I exclaim causing her to laugh.

Suddenly, I get pushed to the wall and I look to see, a man.

"Mon-el stop!" Kara yells.

I guess this dude is another alien.

He lets go of my neck causing me to gasp for air.

"Who was that?" I ask Kara as she comes towards me.

"That was Mon-el. He is from Daxam, Krypton's sister planet." She tells me. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I am fine." I assure her.

"Ok, let's see if we have anyone to lock up." Kara says.

"Shame, it would be great to be out there with you again." I tell her and she laughs.

"Yeah, we did great together." She agrees.

Suddenly, a breach formed in the middle of the building so everyone started to run over to it.

"What is it?" Winn asks.

"It's a breach, someone is probably coming through." I tell them.

Suddenly, a very familiar metal armoured suit pops out.

"Savitar!" I yell at him.

He turns around to look at me and screams in my face.

He starts to run around the building, killing everyone except me, Kara, Winn, Alex and J'onn.

"What the hell!?" Alex yells.

"I am Savitar, the god of speed." He tells them.

"What do you want?" Kara asks him.

"Him." He says pointing at me.

"You're not getting to him." Kara says stepping in front of me.

"Is that so Kara?" He asks.

"How do you know my name?" She asks him.

He doesn't say anything except just looks at me.

Suddenly, Savitar runs towards me and takes me.

Everything is blurry because I don't have my speed.

He throws me into a wall. I fall on the floor grunting in pain.

I stand up just to be held by the neck being pushed into the wall further.

"If you're going to kill me, kill me." I tell him.

"I would, if I could but, I am not the one that kills you. He is." He says while pointing behind him.

I look past his shoulder to see gas around.

"Kyle?" I ask.

They turn back to human to reveal that I was right.

"Hello, Flash." He says.

"You don't have to do this." I tell him.

"Oh, I do." He says.

He gets back into gas form then flies towards me.

I struggle in Savitar's grip and feel electricity flowing through my body. My speed is back.

I phase out of Savitar's grip and run away.

In a few moments, I am back in the D.E.O.

"Barry!" Kara yells as she flies over to me.

"I'm ok." I tell her.

But I really wasn't, because Savitar came out of nowhere and held me up.

"You think you can outrun me?" He asks me.

"I know." I say as I kick him back and run.

I run around the building as Savitar chases me.

I run back to the main room of the building. I see Kyle behind Kara.

"Kara!" I yell.

I run to get Kyle away from her, but instead he turns into gas and I consume him.

I hold my neck, gasping for oxygen.

"Barry!" Kara yells as she runs to me.

I collapse to the floor, suffocating.

"Kara. I'm sorry." I say.

"No, don't worry, I am going to get you out." She says.

"My super friend." I whisper while smiling. "Don't forget me."

"Don't speak like this." She tells me.

"Here, give. Caitlin. This." I tell her as I give her a piece of paper.

"Give it to her yourself." She says.

"Just take it!" I yell as loud as I can as I gasp for air.

"Ok, I will." She tells me.

She takes it, and that's where I went out. It went black.
