(U/N) POV
We just entered a modern-looking corridor. It surprised me a bit considering we are in an enormous tree. Kirito starts running, I guess I got to run too. After using Bolt so many times, my brain feels fried.
"Kirito, I need a minute," I call out
"No breaks...we are close I just know it," Kirito says
"Seriously dude, I need a break," I say as I lean and put my weight against the wall. Instead of being supported I suddenly fell like I'm falling. O wait, I am. I crashed to the ground quite hard. I was very confused.
Looking around I saw I was in another corridor.
"Ouch," I say
"(U/N), you are a genius," Kirito says helping me up
"You just found that out," I say pulling myself up. Looking down the corridor, I see a door hatch.
"Come on," Kirito says walking to the door
"Jeez, we don't even know where she is, it would be o so more convenient to have a pixie or something show us the way," I say
"That'd be too easy," Kirito says walking
"Easier is better," I say as we reach the door
"How are we supposed to open this thing," I say trying to rotate the lock but to no avail.
"Like this," Kirito says as he punches the door right off its hinges.
"Now that is what I consider easy," I say as I look behind the door. It looks like it led outside. We walked outside and the scenery was outstanding. Kirito looked around with disgust
"Do you really hate not being in a dark dungeon that much?" I tease
"No, there is supposed to be a flying city, I guess that was all a lie," Kirito says
"O," I say before something catches his eye. He starts bolting before he can even say anything. Honestly what's up with him just running...it's exhausting
I follow him and after a few minutes of sprinting on a floating path, I can see what caught his interest. Ahead of us was a cage. As we got closer I could see someone sulking on a bed. Jesus, no privacy, anyone with a telescope can see what she is doing.
When we finally reached, I see why Kirito was so keen we go to it. That sulking person was no other than Asuna. Kirito starts sprinting faster, I can't go much faster, I'm exhausted.
"Hey Asuna, your Prince Charming is here," I yell at the top of my lungs before Kirito can reach the gate.
She perks up just in time to see Kirito arriving. As I continue to run to them, Kirito just stands there. Eventually, he cuts a hole in the cage and embraces Asuna. When I reach them, no doubt in my mind they were about to get snuggly
"Oy," I say jumping into the cage
"Get a room and stop the waterworks," I say as Asuna's face is covered in tears
"(U/N)," Asuna says teary-eyed
"You kno--," I began to say before I'm suddenly forced to the ground. The ground disappears and we are lowered into a dark room with a ring of light below us
Kirito and Asuna try to embrace each other and they are struggling to do so. Me...well I'm just lying on the ground like a starfish. Let me tell ya, I just had the best back crack of my life
"Looks like two rodents are leeching on my little bird," a voice calls out
"Sugou!" Kirito calls to the figure standing above us
