(Y/N) POV
My heart beats faster as I see her
"Kate," I say as I breathe in relief
"Your back," she says as she smiles...oh that smile...its something I haven't seen in 2 centuries
"How long has it been?" I ask
"A month," she answers
"Ha, lucky, it's been 200 years since I saw you," I say with weary eyes. I struggle to sit up, but Kate helps me
"That's a long time," She says
"Yea, I couldn't remember what your face looked like," I say as she frowns
"But I never forgot how pretty it was," I say as I hug her. A hug I've been waiting 200 years for. She's finally in my arms...my love is finally with me again.
Without knowing, I started crying. I could care less that people were watching. It just feels so good. The warmth of her hug melts my heart as every breath I take it beats out of my chest.
"I've missed you," I whisper as I hug her tighter
"I missed you so much," I repeat as I loosen up
"I'm here now," She says
"I know, this seems like a dream...funny isn't it. You'd think the 200 years would seem like the dream...but I've spent more time in a dream then I have in reality...and the thing that sucks...you weren't in that dream," I say as I breakdown into tears
"I can barely remember anything from before...it's terrible...as if to torture me. I remember all the good things about you while not being able to see them," I cry as she just hugs me...that's good enough, all I want is to stay like this
"I wish I coulda been there," She says
"Yea," I mutter as I look at the people
"If your gonna copy someone's brain, Do mine, If you do Asuna's or Kirito's your asking for trouble," I say as they nod
"Then go ahead, wipe the memories away," I say as I look at Kate one last time
"So, cya later," I say bittersweetly as she now has tears coming from her eyes
"I love you," She says as everything after...is a blank memory
5 years later
"We are expecting," I say to our group of friends as I hug my wife
"Congrats," Logan says with a 3-year-old son
"I never would have thought you'd mature into a father," I say as May looks at me
"He grew up real fast," She says in a serious tone as Logan laughs it off
"I mean for Pete sake your nickname was Qweep," I continue
"It's all past me now," He says itching his hair
"Yea...ok," I chuckle as Himiko tracks me down
"So, you finally did it," She says
"Yea, we figured it was time for the next step," I say
"Yea, I hope the baby is cute," She says as she gets whisked away from Carter
Next, I approach James.
"Congrats dude," he says
"Thanks, so how has Miss Riley's Knight in shining armour been treating her," I say as I tease him
"You never do change do you," he says
"It's what makes me, me," I say
"It's been good, she's really coming out of her shell," he says
"Yea, she looks more talkative," I say as I look at her in the group of girls
"Yea, she's come a long way," He says smiling
"So, when are you gonna buy a ring?" I tease him as he gets flustered
"I'm on it ok," he says as I laugh
"Cya later," I say as I leave him be
I walk to the main attraction of this party...my beautiful wife
"So how's my little grape doing," I tease her as I get her attention. Oh, boy, do I wish I came up with this nickname a lot sooner,
"Doing just fine," She says as she leans against my shoulder
"Are you tired?" I ask
"A little," she answers as I smell her. She smells sweet
"If you wanna leave we can," I say as she shakes her head no
"You look like your having fun," She says smiling
"You know I don't like parties," I say as I force a grin
"Oh I know you don't," she says with a grin
"This is what you get for making me puke every morning," She says with an evil grin. I just smile and agree with her.
Before I knew it. We were on our way home anyway.
"Are you excited?" I ask her
"For what?" She asks
"To be a mother," I continue
"Yea, I am. I can't wait to hold her in my arms," She says
"I think little Jenn will be so cute," she continues
"Her? How do you know it's not him," I ask
"I think Max will be a lady killer," I tease
"Definitely gonna be Jenn," Kate says
"My Intuition says so," she continues
"Whatever you say," I agree
Man...
how'd I end up with such a good life after everything

Everything between then and that time I was stuck inside a game for two years. I don't remember those two years. But Kate said she never loved me more than when I came back

Finished. First off, I'd like to thank all of you who read to the end. You are really cool. This marks the end of the Lightning Swordsmen story. What's the saying," one chapter ends another begins," something like that. Anyway what I'm getting at, is I'm starting two Spin-off series. One is an alternate timeline about "what if max didn't die," it's Called "Deadly Duo" first chapter is being released after this one and the other is about (Y/N)s sister, Abby, and how she deals with school life, its name will be "My Savour"
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this book from start to end. I will add Specials at Milestones such as 100K and 1k votes etc so look forward to those. But other than that. This is the last part of the main books of the Lightning Swordsmen series. I hope if you enjoyed this book, andthat you look at my other books and read them too....As a result.
