(Y/N) POV

I was walking to the Kimberly household to pick up Kate for our date. After all, I did promise we would go on one soon. It took me a while to get ready and pick my outfit, in the end, I picked something casual.

I arrived at the house, 5 minutes earlier than the time we agreed on. Nothing wrong with being early. I waited outside a little before walking to the door to knock on it. I waited for a second or two and suddenly the door opens revealing an angel.

Kate stood before me in a cute blue dress. Her hair appeared to be straightened, surely Linda's handy work

"You look great," I say as I smile

"T-thank you," She says shyly

"Shall we be on our way?" I ask politely

"You know what time to get her back by!" Linda yells in the background

"Alright then," I say grabbing Kates hand as we start to walk

As we walk Kate says," you look good too," shyly

"Thanks, anywhere you'd like to go?" I ask

"I'm fine anywhere as long as it's with you," She says speaking a bit louder

"Alrighty then," I say. It was only midday so I figure we can probably stop for something to eat.

"Let's grab some food, any recommendations?" I ask

"I know this one place, they have some pretty good food," Kate says

"Lead the way," I say as she takes the lead. Everything has been peaceful lately. The past few months have been hectic in comparison. It's nice to finally settle down and spent time with Kate.

We arrive at a food stand called Karbies. I start looking at the menu and then I realize, what do you usually eat on dates? I mean, usually your at a fancy restaurant for dinner and then you order a steak or something. But this certainly isn't a fancy restaurant....and it's lunch...

"What's your favourite thing here?" I ask

"Hmmmmm... The clubhouse sandwich is pretty good," she says

"Alrighty I'll have that," I say realizing that I have a sudden craving for one

We order our food, I want with the clubhouse and Kate ordered a BLT...I guess it's sandwiches for lunch today. Once we finished, we started to wander around town. Then it hit me.

"Kate, do you wanna go swimming?" I ask. Kate looks at me with a scared look on her face and looks away

"I can't....swim," she says embarrassed, but that's not the only reason she doesn't want to go...

"Don't worry about it, I'll teach you," I encourage her

"I don't know about that," she says sceptical

"Come on, it'll be fun," I persist.

"Ok, fine. I don't have a swimming suit though," she says

"No worries, we can drop by the mall and pick something up," I compromise

"Uh, I guess I can go shopping, I don't think I have much money on me though," she says

"I'll pay, after all, I don't have a swimsuit myself," I tell her

"Off we go then," she says sounding a bit happier after I told her we'd be going shopping. I guess most girls do like shopping...
