In truth, Aurora didn't know what to do. She didn't know whether she should go with her father, because strangely even though she had spent so long without him, she felt as though she had finally found a new family. Somewhere where she hadn't expected to find comfort, yet did. She exhaled, while Colt watched her with curiosity. Eventually, it was starting to get late. So, Colt fell asleep, and Aurora tried to, but ultimately, she just couldn't. She had a lot on her mind. She stood up, and wandered outside, where her father was sitting, looking up at the planets in the sky. It looked familiar to one that she had read about in a book Colt had managed to get her during her time at the lab. Jupiter. It was said that the planets had adjusted slightly, and so the great giant planet was now visible from Earth.

Alexander turned to Aurora with a serious expression, but didn't say anything for a moment. Aurora couldn't help but feel as though he was somewhat unsettled. Nevertheless, she didn't want to bring the subject up, and so avoided it. "You alright for me to join you?" She asked him. He gave a nod, so she sat beside him.

"We're just...we're worth more than this place, Aurora." He stated then.

Aurora couldn't help but notice that her father no longer used his nickname for her anymore- Star. Perhaps enough time had passed between them that he had forgotten about it, but Aurora hadn't. She never forgot. She absentmindedly traced the scar on her wrist then, and Alexander just raised an eyebrow at her.

"You know, you should stop looking at that thing." Alexander stated.

"Why does it bother you?" Aurora retorted then, and then caught sight of her father's expression. "Wait. It does bother you. Doesn't it?" She asked. "Do you know how I got it?" She asked, barely thinking about avoiding talking about her many questions, and the ones that kept developing within her mind.

"They wanted to take you away from us." Alexander said then, his expression becoming more solemn.

Aurora's ears perked up at that confession.

"Who did?"

"Your uncle and his cultists...they wanted to take you away because they saw great things in you, Aurora. Luckily, your mother and I managed to rescue you. Now, you're safe, but for how long? How long is it until someone else wants to have you for your powers? That's why we have to leave, Aurora. Go far from this place. Venture to another one where I can ensure your safety, and ensure that you're far from anyone who could ever cause you harm." Alexander said.

"I just..." Aurora trailed off, thinking about what she would be leaving behind if she did go with him. It was hard to ignore the thoughts that were entering her mind. She didn't want to leave behind Nova, or Colt, or Leo...or any of the others, for that matter. However, this was her father. Maybe it made sense to be with her family.

"Do you know how many rules I had to break to come and get you, Aurora? You and I both know I wasn't supposed to board the space craft, but I had to. I knew what you had...and I knew that it was something that needed to be protected." Alexander stated.

Aurora just gave an understanding nod, and was glad that her father had been so loving as to break rules in order to protect her, but things still felt...peculiar, and she wasn't exactly sure why.

Regardless, she gave her father a gentle smile, and looked back up towards the starry sky above for a moment.

"You're wanted, by me, Aurora. Do you truly think you could ever be wanted here, by them? How long is it until this Colt boy gets tired of you?"

Those words hurt something in Aurora's heart, so she chose to ignore them for now.

How could her father say something like that?
