Chapter 16

Everyone was talking happily by a beach which was near them. Naraku was defeated for good. All they had to do now was get the jewel shards which Koga and Kagome holds and complete the jewel.

Everyone was happy, almost everyone.
Meanwhile, Kikyo was sitting on a very big stone, getting into her thoughts.

Kikyo's pov,

He's dead. Naraku is dead for good.
But, what am I supposed to do now?
I've completed my revenge on him but...

I looked back at Inuyasha and (Y/n).
Inuyasha had his arm around her as they talked, watching the stars.

They were perfect.

And Inuyasha seems very happy right now.
I guess I am just a past to him now. I guess she won him fair and square.
I couldn't help but quietly chuckled out in bitter as I looked at the waves, dancing gently with the wind in night time.

I don't belong to this world.
I have finished my business.
I have nothing left to do now.

I can't go back to my village where Kaede is and live with her. I was dead to that village since 50 years ago.

Just then, Sesshomaru sat down right beside me, making me a bit surprised.
"Sesshomaru?"I said,c onfused.
This was the first time I called his name.

He glanced at me for a bit before looking out at the ocean.
"What are you gonna do from now on?" he asked which was very surprising.

But,I decided to talk to him.
I smiled as I looked out at the sea.
"I wonder about that. I live in this realm, warpped in the souls of the dead. There's no place for me anymore. I guess I am not allowed here," I said and there was silence between us for a moment.

"What if there's one more place for you which you never knew?"Sesshomaru said and I looked at him surprised.

What was he talking about?
"A place for me?" I said and he looked at me still with a calm face yet there was something else despite his expression.

Something sweet and something gentle.

"I have sought nothing more than to fight with powerful beings until very now. I was always alone until I met those two," he said as he looked over at the gang.

I looked at Rin and Jaken. It made me surprised, actually. This cold brother of Inuyasha's has a human kid around him.

"Little did I know I was wrong. Same as you, I held a grudge against Inuyasha before. I never considered him as my brother. He was a disgrace to our kind but, eventually, I started to learn that everything I've believe until now was wrong," Sesshomaru said as he looked back to the sea.

"Kikyo, you may be a once dead priestess but, there's still one more place in my gang," he said and I couldn't help but feel shy as he looked at me.

He was offering me to join him.

Meanwhile,

(Y/n) fangirled as she saw Sesshomaru and Kiko talking. She saw the way Kikyo was being shy just now. And that expression on Sesshomaru's face.

Inuyasha looked at her and looked to where she was looking. He smiled when he saw Sesshomaru and Kikyo.

Smiling, he pulled (Y/n)'s head back to him, making her eyes met with his as he made sure their lips were only a few inches away.
"Hey focus," he said and (Y/n) blushed as she started to feel shy herself.

"You are with me. You are supposed to focus only on me tonight," Inuyasha said as he kissed her forehead.
"Inuyasha...don't you feel jealous?"(Y/n) asked, confused.

Inuyasha smiled as he looked back to Kikyo and Sesshomaru.
"Why would I?I am glad that she is starting to look like she is living in a world she has always wanted even though I am surprised that it's Sesshomaru who made her to be like back then again," he said as he pulled (Y/n) onto his lap.

He looked down at her, smiling with a look full of warmth and love as he looked into her eyes.
"Besides, I have the most beautiful girl here right in my arms. I rather speak about our future rather than someone else's matter," Inuyasha said and (Y/n) blushed as her heart started beating fast.

"Our future?" she said, starting to think about what their future might be like.

Inuyasha smiled and rested his head on hers, holding her closer.
"We will settle down in a nice peaceful place and start a life. Just the two of us," he said.

(Y/n) smiled, blushing as she imagined how wonderful it might be.
"That'd be beautiful, Inuyasha,"she said, blushing.

"But, first things come first, we still have a few things to take care of to make us completely official," Inuyasha said as they looked at each other again.

"What's that?"(Y/n) asked.
"We'll complete the jewel and I have to talk to Kagome first,"Inuyasha said and she frowned a bit.
She looked away.

Inuyasha immediately noticed what was going on in her mind and immediately said.
"No, don't get it wrong. I am trying to make things clear"

(Y/n) looked back at him.
"Things?" she asked, still frowning a bit.
Inuyasha smiled at her before looking at the sea.
"Besides, Kikyo. Kagome is one of the people who treats me like a normal person including our friends. I know she likes me but, until now, I have been focused on Naraku. It's time for me to make things clear and then,"Inuyasha said and smiled down at (Y/n).

"And then?" she asked and Inuyasha smirked.
"And then, we are going to have a proper wedding and start a life. You'll officially become mine. My wife. My mate. My everything," he said and (Y/n) started blushing harder.

She smiled.
Before she could say anything, Inuyasha stole a quick kiss from her.
"I love you,"Inuyasha said, holding her closer.
"I love you too, Inuyasha"

Meanwhile,

Sango smiled, watching Inuyasha and (Y/n).
"Sango," she heard Miroku called and turned to him, humming in response.
"What do you planned to do from now on?"Miroku asked, looking into the fire.

Sango smiled as she patted Kirara's head.
"I am not sure yet. How about you?" she asked.
"Well...Naraku is dead and the curse upon my family is broken. If you ask me, I wanna settle down and start a life with you,Sango,"Miroku said and Sango blushed.
"Miroku,"Sango said, blushing as she smiled.

Kohaku and Shippo smiled at each other while Rin giggled, happy for them.
Jaken just sighed, looking at Sesshomaru.

Just then, the sky light up and everyone looked up at the sky only to see a meteor.

Everyone smiled as they looked up at so many shooting stars lighting up the sky.
"You know...there's a legend I've heard before,"Miroku said.
"What's it?" Sango asked.
"If you are under a meteor with the one you love, they will become star blessed couples.
No one can separate them,"Miroku said as he held Sango's hand tight, making her blush as she smiled happily.

Everyone said nothing as they smiled and silently watch until the meteor ended.
