***Hi Guys! Welcome to my new book based on the Netflix show OUTER BANKS! This show is amazing; I am slightly obsessed, and really wanted to create my own story inspired by this show. Most events will be like the show but there are changes in order to fit in my original character, Alana Cameron. I wanted to change a few things up and not start my book the way the show starts only because I feel that is what most people are doing and I want to switch it up. As mentioned in the description, I do not own any of the characters from the show. Please give feedback, it truly helps improve my writing and I want to know your thoughts. Alexis Ren as Alana Cameron.

Alana Cameron, 16 years old, a girl who has gone through hell and back since she was a little girl. Her mother abandoned her when she was only five, leaving her to live with her abusive father. Brian Cameron wasn't always a monster. Being abandoned by her mother lead to her fathers heavy use of drugs and alcohol, constantly blaming Alana for her mother leaving and eventually she believed it to be true.

Her wild spirit gets her into trouble a lot especially with her strict father but she can't help who she is. She's flirtatious, curious, goofy, and intriguing to anyone who catches sight of her. She's the girl you want to be friends with. She's mysterious never once letting people know too much, only what she wants them to know. And she's extremely smart but doesn't let it show. Despite her seeming confident and strong, Alana feels she has lost herself along the way not knowing who she truly is anymore but hopes she soon can find herself one day. She knows her father doesn't love her and wishes her mother were here instead of her. His drinking has been getting worse and so have the beatings. They have become a daily thing now and it's getting harder to hide up the evidence. After nearly getting beat to death Alana decides its time to come clean to the only person she trusts: her cousin Sarah Cameron. Jamaica is paradise on earth but she doesn't have a home here anymore and it's time she leaves it all behind to get away from her monstrous father. Alana thinks she has this idea of what the outer banks will be like but when she arrives to figure eight she realizes just how wrong she was about how this summer would go.

John B ("Bird") Routledge: seen as the leader of the group. All he's looking for is answers... and gold. He's a good kid but life isn't always fair to him. (Also, Yes i know his middle name is not bird. It's booker but there's a reason when i have it as bird which you'll have to read on to find out :)

Kiara / Kie: the one who cares about the earth when it seems no one else does. Rich af actually but chooses to hang with the troubled kids because they are her family.

Pope: "the brains of the operation." Dorky, odd but the smartest kid you will meet. Loyal to his friends even if it means risking his scholarship.

JJ: John B thinks he's the best surfer he's ever met, but as long as JJ doesn't know he said that then all is good. The biggest troublemaker. If anything is a bad idea or dangerous, he's all in.

Sarah Cameron: Princess Kook. Deep down I believe she has the heart of a pogue, or maybe she is just in love with the heart and soul of one.
