Tiffany and I have gotten closer than we were before, she's amazing. I normally hate when I catch feelings for someone, but this ones different,
she's sweet and smart and beautiful beyond compare. But I feel so bad because I have to tell the girls to lay off her, they've been adamant about trying to ruin her more than they have with anyone else in the past.

She walks out of her house alone and smiles at me as she gets in the car.
"Good morning." She says happier than usual.
"Where's shorty jr?"
I start driving as I ask.
"She got sick."
She rolls her eyes as she pulls her phone out and plugs the aux into it. She shuffles her playlist and a song I don't know comes on.
"Who's this?"
"Haroinfather, it's called Lavagirl, I promise you'll like it."
We bump the music along the way and I can't help but look over at her, she looks like she feels every note, lyric and beat of the song in her bones.

"So."
Thalia comes up to me at my locker and looks me up and down.
"Is that girl your new girlfriend or what?"
I roll my eyes, this girl doesn't know how to mind her own business.
"For the millionth time, no. We're just friends."
"Better be 'just friends,' she should learn when to back off."
She mumbles as I start walking away to find
my friends.
"Mattia." Ale begins as I approach.
"Yeah?"
"When can we meet Shania?"
I swallow the lump that's formed in my throat.
"Umm, never?"
I don't mean sound rude or anything, but I don't want them stealing this one from me.
"Why not? You worried he'll take her from you or sum?"
Kai backhands my chest lightly.
"No, I just want this one to actually work unlike the others ones."
I smile nervously at them as I catch Tiff and Natasha walking down the hall.
"Where is he looking?"
Kai jumps to try and be at my eye level to see what I'm looking at.
"Oh, you're looking at Tasha again aren't you?"
Ale smirks.
"No, I was looking at Shania."

That wasn't technically a lie, because I was looking at Tiffany, Natasha just happened to be there too.
"Wait she's walking with Tasha?" Kai says as he stops jumping to catch his breath, I shake my head.
"No, she walked by Tasha but she's gone now."
I feel bad about lying to my friends,
but what's mine is mine and Tiffany is mine, I met her first therefore I have first dibs. The bell sounds and I see Tasha hug Tiffany and send her in our direction, I panic slightly.
"Hello? Earth to Mattia?"
Kai hits my stomach slightly making me snap back into reality.
"What?"
"Oh my god never mind, later bro."
We dab each other up and they walk the direction Tiffany's in, she approaches me with a smile.
"Hey." She cheeses.
"Hey."
I smile back and walk with my arm rested atop
her head.
"You don't have to point out the fact that I'm short, you do know that right?"
She giggles a little.
"I know, it's just too fun not to do it."
"Oh my god."
She and I laugh as I open the door to the classroom, she walks in ahead of me and I stare at her until Thalia gets in my line of sight.
"Not your girlfriend huh?"
I roll my eyes and push past her to sit beside Tiffany.

"Can I tell you something Tiff?"
My palms get really sweaty and my foot taps nervously.
"Sure."
She smiles as she turns to face me.
"I've never met someone like you."
I notice her cheeks gradually grow more and more red as she looks down at her feet.
"Is that a good thing?"
She glances up at me for a second.
"Of course it's a good thing, that means you're one
of a kind."
She smiles her perfect smile at me which makes me feel some type of way, I gaze at her until I see Thalia out of the corner of my eye planning something with her friends.

"Lunch again?" I question as she scoots closer to me to help me with the assignment.
"Can't, I'm going with Tasha to take my sister some food."
I'll admit I'm a little disappointed, but I mean,
as long as she's going with Tasha and not another guy there's nothing to worry about, right?
"Oh, that's cool."
I start copying her notes.
"I'm sorry, I'd love to go it's just—"
"Don't sweat it, it's fine. Family comes first in my house too."
She smiles as we work on the project until the bell rings.
"If they do something today, come find, me please." "I will."
I give her a side hug and watch as she walks up to her locker before walking away to mine.
