¶FLOWING WITH FLOW! -PART 1¶

~CHAPTER SIXTEEN

"He did what?" Navya slammed the bottle in her hand on the table. Nandini was staring like a lost crow in space.

"You let him?" It was nearly unbelievable for Navya the way Nandini gave in.
"I have no choice; I belong to him." Nandini sighed.
"You are not an object idiot. You are a human. What's wrong with you? Why are you behaving like a woman from the stone age?" Navya yelled. "What's the use of this degree? What's the use of this white coat?" Nandini had enough she snapped back

"Right! There is no use of this." She stood up and took off her lab coat. Navya was staring at her in disbelief. Nandini stuffed her coat in her best friend's hands and walked away. Navya face-palmed at this stupidity and chased after her best friend. She overtook Nandini in the middle of the corridor and dragged her out. It was noon and no one was around. Nandini was weeping like hell. Navya sat beside Nandini and hugged her. Nandini cried helplessly. The pain and sorrow in her voice was tearing Navya's heart apart. After sometime Nandini began,

"It's so hard. I hate it every time he touches me." Navya hugged her tightly. "I feel so dirty and used. I want this pain to stop."

"It's in your hands." Nandini shook her head

"No it's not. I know Cabir is a manipulator but I can't do anything now is the question of my character. Have you forgotten about how he accused me of involving with Manik. The only thing that guy did was to save me. He brought me home in one piece that night. Otherwise God knows Navya what Cabir would have done." Navya felt like tearing up at this. "My father who never lifted a finger on me;

he slapped me that night." Nandini cried harshly. Now it made sense of Navya. Emotional trauma is invisible but most lethal of all. It leaves scars too hard to understand and too invisible to be seen with naked eye. Nandini calmed down after sometime. Navya wiped her face.

"So what is the plan now?"
"There is no plan." Nandini stared towards the sky "I will just go with the flow."

"And waste your life with a piece of shit? Only because of that one thing." Navya growled

"Yeah!" Nandini mumbled. People might think it's an easy thing to give up but it's not. It takes too much for a person to step back and don't do anything. Destroying one's own self is the most painful and destructive process. Nandini spent her whole life for her family but everything went down the drain. Dad would not look at her. Siblings treated her like an untouchable.

"Permit me once just once, I can fabulously stab this bastard. Then burn him with acid and happily flush down the ash down the toilet for you." Nandini gasped and turned towards her best friend.

"Navya...." She slapped her shoulder playfully.
"What? I can't see you suffering like this." Navya said in a serious tone.
"I will be happy someday. Every dark cloud has a silver lining. In this rut may some day my silver lining will appear."

Nandini eyes twinkled for a moment.
"Are you sure that you want to do this?" Navya raised her eyebrow.

"Yes! With Manik engaged it's not like I have a choice." Nandini sighed.
"I will be here for you always." Navya hugged Nandini as she giggled.
