John Lancer, a 19 year-old World of Warcraft gamer, gets an ugly day (or night..) when he gets smashed by Mannoroth in the Hellfire Citadel, and rages about things like no one bothered to even frequently heal him, and that he observed that the others only constantly healed everybody except him, as a way of performing their gag on a poor unsuspecting player.
Crushed by the cruel prank, his veins pop out and bulge from his head, including his eyes. He then wished to report those guys.
Despite him being a relatively new gamer, having played the previous installment, Mists of Pandaria, he still did not tolerate cruel jokes, especially when he was almost going to finish Warlords of Draenor.
Yet, he wanted something new, something to at least liberate him from the toxic environment he swims in as a gamer. Even a vacation to someplace like Miami would be already good enough. But, living in the state of New Jersey, it would be a long drive.
Suddenly, a power surge caused the neighborhood to spazz out, and luckily, did not heavily tilt John, as he wanted to take a break. The neighbors complained about the sudden power outage. When John laid a hand on his computer screen, a glowing white-hot bolt of electricity made contact with him.

He felt like he was being fried, and thought of the afterlife in the middle of electrocution.
But, he disintegrated. Soon after that, the power came back on. Nobody would know of John's disappearance yet.

He was going to be in a new kind of hell. And to add to the misery, not a lot of people paid attention to John. His parents were on a business trip in Arizona. He thought that at this point, his life became a joke.
