Movie and Ice Cream: II

During the interval, Evan ran to pee saying something about scary enough to wet his pants and Connor had to get a refill for Evan kept looking at him with disappointed face after seeing the empty bucket and Connor could swear he himself had a few handfuls only.

This time Connor gave the whole bucket to Evan and sneaked a few glances only. He couldn't understand why he is feeling this way but for once he knew that this feeling whatever is it, is good. Rest of the movie went quite eventful as Connor kept looking at the laughing Evan who in his eyes resembles a blossoming flower.
Even though comparing a man to a flower is sort of degrading but Connor couldn't help the smile that graces his lips every time he watches Evan happy.
Walking out of the place Evan had tons of things to talk about the movie and his mind made itself up to publish a review in his old newspaper. Of course, it was all praises with few snips here and there.

By the time they came out the sun was about to set and most of the sky was already covered in darkness followed by an army of stars. Most of the time stars are hard to see due to the city pollution but some days like today they are easily visible.

Connor noticed the look Evan had while looking at the stars and for some reason, he knew that the night couldn't end here like this. It is still too soon for this happy feeling to disappear.

"You want to eat something?" Connor asked stuffing his hands in his pocket.

Evan looked at him and then shook his head "No, I am quite full and I also need to get home as Steven is my ride and I can't be late."

Connor felt disappointment but then he remembered something "Well, I can drop you if that is alright, my car is in the parking." Evan thought about it and then nodded but before he has the time to say something Connor made a dash for the parking lot.

He made a quick call in the meantime to tell Steven that he'll be leaving with Connor.

Minutes later Evan was standing in front of a royal blue Porsche that had his mouth agape. Though he failed to notice that the car and its colour are both his favourites but the grin on Connor's face said everything.

"Come in," He said from inside the car unlocking the doors. It took some time for Evan to move and take his seat in the expensive vehicle. He was hit with the freshener as soon as the doors closed and damn him if it isn't the slate ocean fragrance. You know there are times when you smell a scent or fragrance and it directly hits you home, igniting a surge of pleasant chemicals in your body making everything feel good well that is what it feels like to Evan.

He was already in quite a good mood and this pleasant atmosphere with a comfortable ride added up to the good points for Connor.

"Now, when you don't need Steven's help to drop you off and we have some more time in our hands how about some ice cream?"

Evan looked at him quizzically "Weren't you hungry before, how come you need ice cream now?"

Connor smiled "I am still hungry but you might be late if we stopped for dinner so I'll settle for ice cream now and eat dinner at home."

"Ohh... so you have someone at home to make dinner for you?" Evan asked just out of curiosity as it is near seven or something and it may take another hour for Connor to reach his home after the ice cream and dropping him.

Connor took some time in replying.
"No, I live alone" Evan couldn't help but notice the several octaves his voice has fallen down, he looked at Connor's face but it was set hard and looking straight.

One drop two drops three drops and before he could count more the glass was being blurred by the sudden and unexpected rain. Evan looked surprised at the weather outside which was pouring as if the heaven has left all their taps open. The sky was clear and there were stars twinkling not even a few minutes ago and now it is raining.
