What's there to think about now? Every time you saw him smile you couldn't help but feel sadness inside you, it was a guilty feeling as if you couldn't do anything else to help him.

Teachers wouldn't do anything, and he doesn't say anything to his parents. You didn't know what else to do and you felt like you were gonna fail him.

You two were finally together after school, spending time with each other at a park that was nearby. Sitting together on the bench.

"What are you thinking about, (Y/n?)" Helen asks, his blue eyes staring at yours deeply curiosity within them, something you never saw in him before.

You wanted to say it was nothing but you couldn't help and let it out trying to give him a solution. "Helen, have you talked to your parents about this whole thing you're going through?" You ask.

Helen kept quiet, his eyes looked the other way, "they wouldn't understand." He responds, a soft yet cold voice getting out of his mouth, "they—" he stops a bit before continuing to talk, "—they are too focused on me doing the best on my studies, they have high expectations and ignore the actual problems I have, they're not... helpful." He says quietly as he hugs his arms and looks at the ground, kicking small pebbles and twigs to distract himself a bit.

You didn't say anything, you stayed quiet and your inner voice was chewing you out for assuming that he didn't talk to his parents about it, they just ignored it. In the corner of your eye you could see Helen was upset, the mood changed suddenly.

You needed to be careful with your words or try to at least comfort him in a way. You sighed and without thinking twice you slowly put your head on his shoulder, it made him tense up and you could feel him stare at you from the corner of his eye. You slowly opened your mouth to let those words out, "I'll be here for you, just know that." It was soft spoken but good enough for him to hear.

You felt comfort just by putting your head on his shoulder, feeling the soft fabric of his dark blue sweater as you stared off at the clouds.

You didn't pay attention to Helen, but his face was beet red, his eyes shining as his heart was beating so fast, he felt like it was gonna burst out of his chest just by hearing your words and the physical contact. He felt warmth and other feelings he couldn't describe but he liked it a lot.

"Thank you." Helen responds softly, a small stutter present when he said it, it did sound like he tried not to stutter but failed badly, he relaxed a little and gladly let your head rest on his shoulder. He could be like this with you for hours as you two stared at the sunset, the sky giving hints of orange and a bit of pink, the clouds giving even a better view. Helen slowly gets closer to you so you could be comfortable as you watched the sunset. Though the silence broke when Helen let out a few words, "you're all I need honestly."

You quickly pick your head up and look at Helen, his face was still red, but the view of this place made him look more charming, the sun was making his skin look more smooth and his blue eyes were more beautiful. You couldn't help but admire him, your face started heating up bit by looking at him and hearing those words.

"I mean... you're all I need as a friend of course, that what I always needed in a friend, to be there for me." He struggled to explain, he was a stuttering mess. You just smiled though, shaking it off and laughing softly.

"I get what you mean." You respond, looking the other way. For a second you felt your heart beat. You knew and you didn't want to deny it. But it was very clear that you started to fall for him. Everything about him would bring you happiness.

And seeing him smile would make you feel those cheesy and warm feelings. Of course you wouldn't admit that in front of him, the thought of telling him might even creep him out so you stayed quiet. You sighed a little and got up from the bench, Helen looked a bit confused but then he realized how late it was getting, "you should go home now, Helen." You say.

But Helen quickly gets up and stands by your side, "let me walk you home first though." He says with a small smile.

You couldn't help but smile too and agreed for him to walk you home, to at least spend a bit more time with each other on your way home.

As you were walking with him, you noticed another kid walking at the other side of the sidewalk. Aiden, you quickly call out his name and wave at him, it seemed to startle Aiden a bit but when he noticed it was you he smiled and made his way to you and Helen.

"(Y/n), how are you?" He asks but quickly stops when he noticed who was next to you, "Helen?"

Helen stayed quiet, his face turned the other way trying to avoid looking at Aiden completely. You were confused a bit as you saw Helen's mood changing. Helen turns to you and whispers in your ear, "I should get going, it's getting late." And without another word he walks away.

You furrowed your eyebrows then look at Aiden, who was just as confused, you weren't sure what just happened but you walked back to follow Helen and ask what happened leaving Aiden by himself.

"Helen, what's wrong?" You ask a bit worried.

"Nothing, go talk to Aiden if you want, it's getting late anyway I should get going home." He says in a dry tone, "I'll see you tomorrow, (Y/n)." He says and walks off.

You were left confused with his strange behavior, he wasn't like that until Aiden appeared.

Did something happened between them?
