False News

'Are you sure Valerie, you will be fine?' Mum asked me as she got ready to leave for work 'Yeah, I'll be in the bed...don't worry' I told her  'Alright then' she said and kissed my forehead 'See you in the evening' she said and left the house

I wasn't going to school today. I just didn't want to.

After mum closed the door, I turned around to go back into my room but I bumped into Patrick 

'Not going?' he asked 'Not well enough to go' I said. I pushed Patrick aside and made my way to the stairs 'Is it because of the papers?' he asked, 'No, it's something else and please don't ask me why' I told him and then climbed the stairs to my room.

I closed the door behind me. I haven't checked my social media sites yesterday, not even today because Twitter would speak of me in Central Park and on Facebook I would find Jamie and Adrian's comments and likes and honestly I am not in a mood to see them at all.

Darcy and Bree texted me overnight, but I said nothing to them. I sat down on the bed, facing my window, the bell swayed and sounded perfect. I looked down on my nightstand to see Holiday Sparks sitting there.

The book worsened my situation...It brought Santa into my mind and I wasn't happy thinking about him at the moment.

Best thing was to go under my blanket and sleep

I woke up when I heard the door bell ring, I tried to continue my sleep but soon there was a knock on the door 'Patrick I told you don't disturb me' I yelled 'It's not Patrick' I heard Bree say

I groaned and got out of the bed. I walked to my door and opened it to reveal Bree, Darcy and Tammy...Shelly's not there

'You look a complete mess!' Tammy said as she got into the room 'Well, what do you expect? I was sleeping' I replied.

The three of them got in and sat on my bed 

'I asume that Shelly said she won't come' I spoke  'Oh she came' Bree said 'I see three and not four so where is she?' I asked. The three of them looked at each other 'Well?' I asked 'She's with Patrick' Tammy said

'What?!' I exclaimed

'Steve opened the door, Patrick welcomed us in. Being Shelly she just like wanted to speak with him' Tammy told me, I rubbed my forehead...it's not a good idea

'Leave that, why did you guys come here?' I asked 'Well, because someone wasn't replying to any of our texts for disappearing yesterday and didn't come to school today' Bree told me 

Oh.

'Why did you just come off without informing one of us?' Darcy asked me. I pulled a chair and sat opposite to them 'Well, you all were in the class, I couldn't disturb you all' I said looking down

'We know why you left and why you didn't come today' Darcy said 

'Oh really? Why?' I asked

'You saw Adrian and Jamie kiss, didn't you?' Bree asked me 'How do you guys knoow about it? Nobody was in the corridor' 'for the time you were there, things happened and today was bad' Bree said

'What do you mean bad?' I asked

'Let's get something a little clear here, Adrian was dating Tim, right' Tammy said 'I guess the 'was' means they broke up?' I asked 'Well yeah they did, Tim punched Jamie real hard today' Tammy said 'Poor fellow's nose was bleeding' Bree added 'Poor him' I said

'The actual thing is that Adrian wanted to break up and she needed a reason. She's always had feelings for Jamie...fake though...so she took the chance and kissed him' Darcy said 'If you thought it was Jamie kissing her, then don't worry he did nothing' Tammy said

Relief

'Is he okay now?' I asked 'Well he was in the clinic for a while' Tammy said 'I didn't come today because I wasn't well...I got a few cramps..' 'And upset since yesterday' 'Day before' I corrected Bree

'You still upset over being on Page Six?' Bree asked, I shook my head in denial 'Santa's not talking to her...took the news a bit too personal' Darcy said  'Oh poor you' Tammy said 

Just then the door opened and Shelly walked in 'Hey girls' she said and walked up to me and hugged me 'I'm sorry' she whispered 'Sorry for what?' 'For misunderstanding you' she spoke 

I pulled away from the hug 'What do you mean?' I asked 'It's nothing actually...your actions made me realise my mistake, I'm stupid' she told me  'No you're not, it's just your reactions...I forgive you' I told her 'I know you haven't' she told me 'Don't be silly Shells' Tammy added

Shelly sat down on the bed along with the others 'So, what else happened today?' I asked

They started on whatever happened, Leslie brought up some Hot Chocolate and cookies

Around 4:30pm, the girls made a move to their homes. I waved them off and got into the kitchen to see if there was anything to munch on

'You seem better now' I heard Patrick say  'Yeah, they made me better' I told him as the cook gave me a plate of pasta 'What was it about?' he asked 

I sat down at the dinning table to eat, he sat opposite to me 'Nothing you should know of' I replied 'Oh come on, why wouldn't you tell me?' he asked 'Because, one..I'm eating and two because you needn't know' I said and put the fork in my mouth and enjoyed the pasta

'Fine' he said and looked away 'I actually need to know something' I asked Patrick 'What?' 'What did Shelly say?' I asked 'Oh it's nothing' he said

'No, it was somethig because I saw a change in her...so what was it?' I asked

'She likes me and wants to be in a relationship with me' he said 'And what did you say?' I asked 'I told her that, someone the other day told me to get serious and not be playfull with girls...she's too innocent' he said

Impressed Am I?

Maybe...maybe not because it is Patrick

'Really?' I asked 'Really, now have your meal...you haven't had anything for lunch' he said and got up and left the room, but then he came back 'Valerie?' he spoke,

I turned to look at him 'What?' I asked 'I did mean what I said, but what I didn't tell her is that I really like you' he said and left the room for real

I stared at the dinning room entrance for a while, wondering what Patrick said and then went back to eat my pasta
