-Morning. -Timothée said, entering the living room. His girlfriend, y/n, sat in the sofa, cup of tea in her hands. He kissed her cheek, smiling.- So pretty.
-Shut up. -y/n rolled her eyes. Her hair was in a ponytail and she was wearing a black pyjama shirt that had a stain of chocolate thanks to the cake she baked yesterday and one of Timothée's sweatpants.- Stop lying.
-I haven't lied in two years.
-Didn't know my boyfriend was Kyle.
Timothée smiled, sitting next to her and she pouted, placing her head on his shoulder:
-I'm so sad.
-I know you are. You told me 24813 times yesterday.
-I should have pre-ordered it. Everyone has it, even my mom!
Timothée placed a kiss on the top of her head:
-You'll get it sometime.
-I know but I really wanted the limited edition.
Animal Crossing was a huge thing in y/n's life. It was the first video game she got when her parents bought her the Nintendo Cube back in 2001, when she was only five. She even had the phone apps as well and still had the game (even if she didn't had her Nintendo Cube). To say that she was a fan was an understatement so, yesterday, when New Horizons came out and the video game shop closest to their apartment went out of stock as soon as it opened its doors she was devastated but still had hope that she would be able to find it.
The couple spent hours looking online without any luck and they even went on different directions to check different stores but that didn't work as well. She really wanted the switch and the game and even after she said that she wouldn't mind having the basic Nintendo Switch without it being the Animal Crossing edition, when she went to find that as well, it was out of stock:
-Ugh, I'm so jealous. I can't even go on Instagram because everyone is posting pictures of it or videos and I... I want it so much. -y/n placed her cup and phone on the table, rolling her eyes.- What am I going to do this quarantine? I'm going to be so bored!
-Ouch. -Timothée placed a hand on his heart, faking sadness. -Wow, I guess I'm bored.
-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that. I love spending time with you but you knowhow I am with that game. I love it so much.
Timothée smiled, kissing her softly:
-You're so cute.
y/n smiled, placing her hands on the back of his neck, enjoying the passionate kisses Timothée was giving her. She truly loved him and felt bad that she even said that she would be bored during this time, she enjoyed his company and loved that he would be at home as well. She moaned when his kisses were moving to his neck but of course, the doorbell had to rang. Her boyfriend stood up:
-I'll get it.
y/n groaned and opened Instagram again, now annoyed at the fact that someone ruined their moment. When Timothée entered the room again, he was carrying a huge box that he left next to y/n:
-What is it?
-Nothing important. I got something for you and something for me.
y/n raised her eyebrows and got closer to him, biting her lip, making Timothée laugh:
-You have a dirty mind.
Tell me what it is!
-I know you love opening things so why don't you open it?
y/n opened the big box and inside of it, there were two other boxes, one bigger than the other, both wrapped in blue wrapping paper:
-The smaller one is for me.
y/n gave him the box that didn't weight much but the other one, the one that was supposed to be for her, was a bit heavier than Timothée's, who was looking at her:
-Okay... -y/n started ripping the wrapping paper and stopped as soon as she saw one of the brown little raccoons that were so familiar.- Holy sh- Tell me you didn't.
Timothée smiled, y/n quickly ripping the paper. In her legs, the new animal Crossing Limited Edition Nintendo Switch. She screamed and placed it on the table, hugging and kissing Timothée several times:
-How?
-Yesterday when we were checking out different stores I got into one that had a few left but I didn't want to ruin the surprise I was trying to give you so I asked the owner if I could pay for it and they could bring it home today so I payed for it and here we are.
y/n kissed him again, muttering a lot of "thank you" between kisses, nearly falling off the sofa:
-Thank you, thank you. I'm so happy! Thank you, thank you.
Timothée smiled, looking at her. Gosh, he loved her:
-What else did you get?
-I want you to have the Switch all the time so I got a Nintendo Switch Lite for myself so we can play together when I'm away.
y/n smiled, hugging him again:
-Let's set this up and play, my beautiful gamer.
