I spoke the words before I even had time to register what left my mouth. At least I'll know who he is if he chooses to reply to my question.

                          
There was a brief silence as I just blankly watched him, patiently waiting on him to speak. The air was cold as I saw my warm breath disappear into the dark night sky. Nobody spoke for those few seconds, the only sound stopping it from being completely silent being the sound of people's chatter and the tunes of the amusement rides that served as background noise.
