Demigods cause a general ruckus (at Hogwarts)

5|| We meet a giant squid and a talking hat.

I'm super happy right now so I decided to give y'all another chapter today. Enjoy!

Annabeth POV

After Percy woke up with a nightmare, we all wanted to get outside. "Can we go to the lake?" Percy asked. "None of us can breath underwater, so it would only be fun for you or Mione." I said. "It would make me feel better."
I sighed. Percy really knows how to get to me. "Fine." I said. He grinned, his smile officially making my day. He grabbed my hand, dragging me to the door. "Anyone want to come?" He asked. Mione immediately jumped up. "I wouldn't miss it! There's a giant squid down there, I wanna meet him!" She said, grinning. Nico and Thalia both decided to come. They always hung around after Percy had a dream. The three of them were really close. Everyone else stayed in our private common room to play monopoly, and a wizard game that Neville introduced as Exploding snap. When we got outside, both the Jacksons took off running toward the lake, and giant squid. They both dove in. Thalia, Nico and I sat on the bank, waiting for them to come back up, and maybe give us air bubbles to breathe with. "What do you think classes will be like?" I asked. Thalia frowned. "They will probably be boring." She said. Before I could argue with this, Percy came up. "Annie! The squid is so nice, but he's lonely cause all the students are scared of him. His name is Justin!" He said, almost all in one breath. In case you are thinking that because Percy called me Annie, now you can. Well, I'm going to tell you right now, HE IS MY BOYFRIEND, ONLY HE CAN CALL ME ANNIE! Good. I'm glad we're on the same page. "Wise girl, come swim please?" Percy whined. I smiled. "I'd love too, Seaweed brain." I said. He pulled me into the water. An air bubble formed around my face. Percy pulled me down almost to the bottom, there was a squid swimming there, apparently talking to Mione. "Hi Justin! This is Annabeth, Annabeth, meet Justin." Percy introduced. I smiled and waved at Justin. Justin waved a tentacle back. "He said,  Hello Annabeth, nice to meet you." Mione translated. "Nice to meet you too Justin." I said, my voice a little muffled. Percy took me to meet the Merpeople, and these creatures called Grindylows. After a little while, we came back to the surface. Thalia was looking into the water with a frustrated look on her face. When we came up she said "Minnie came down and said we need to go to the great hall for the sorting." I scrambled out of the water, told Percy to dry me off, and dragged the three of them back up to our dorms. "Hey! Great hall now! Come on! We'll be late!" I shouted. That made everyone haul boogie to the door. We started running. When we got to the great hall, we burst into the doors, all talking at once. The whole hall turned around to stare at us. "Perfect timing! Come up here please." Minnie said. We all trooped up to the stage. Luckily, Luna had reminded everyone who has a disguise, to put it back on before we came into the great hall. All the students stared at us as we walked up to the front to stand with the rest of the first years. This place is nothing like camp half blood.

Ron POV

Honestly, I hate Harry. On the outside, I have to act like I don't. Being popular is hard. We had just been ushered into the great hall, when the huge double doors slammed open, and ten kids came in, all talking at once. I recognized some of them, especially Ginny, my adopted sister. I wonder why she's with them? Professor McGonagall told them to come stand with the rest of the first years. Now the sorting.

Ginny POV

We went to stand with the other first years. Minnie- I mean Professor McGonagall brought out a stool, a scroll, and a tattered old hat. She put the hat down on the school and instructed us to come up to the stool when our name was called, and put it on our head. Weird. Not as weird as the life of a Demigod though. "Chase, Annabeth!" She read. Annabeth started walking to the stool. When she was about three feet away, the hat started to scream "AAAAGGHHHH!!!! GET AWAY! GRYFFINDOR! JUST GET AWAY!!!" Annabeth looked kinda surprised, but went to sit down at the Gryffindor table. It called a few of other names, then it got to another demigod. "Di Angelo, Nico!" Minnie called. Nico walked up to the stool, the shadows leaned toward him. The hall started whispering. "I'll bet he's a Slytherin." I heard behind me. I turned around and saw Harry Potter. What an idiot. Nico was roughly five feet away from the hat when it started yelling. "YOU TOO?!?!!! SO MANY MEMORIES!!! GET AWAY FROM ME YOU POOR CHILD!!! GRYFFINDOR!!!" Nico calmly walked to the Gryffindor table, ignoring the shocked faces. "Jackson, Hermione!" Minnie said. "It's just Mione." Mione mumbled. The hat wasn't even touching her head before it screamed "Gryffindor!" She smiled and basically sprinted to the Gryffindor table. "Jackson, Perseus!" Percy had only taken two steps before the hat started sobbing. "NOOOOOO!!!! GRYFFINDOR! GRYFFINDOR!!!! YOU POOR, POOR BOY!!!" Percy jumped, and went to sit down next to Annabeth with wide eyes. "Grace, Thalia!" "Just Thalia." She grumbled. Like it had done with Mione, the hat hadn't even touched her before screaming "Gryffindor!" The rest of the Demigods were sorted quickly afterward. All getting Gryffindor, even Luna and Draco. The feast went by quickly, with only two incidents. The first, was when Percy and Thalia were trying to sacrifice from under the table, burning ours for us, as we handed it to them. Several people peeked their heads under the table, probably trying to find out what the Hades they were doing. They must have glared at them, because they quickly withdrew their heads. The other incident was when Draco 'accidentally' spilled salt onto Nico's plate. Nico looked up, with a glare, making Draco jump, and spill his water onto Percy's plate. Percy just grinned, and made the water splash into Draco's face. Now Draco was coughing and being glared at by scary glare himself, Nico Di Angelo. What a lovely night for him. We went up to bed soon after that episode. Hogwarts will be fun, I look forward to it.
