Note: Holaaa!
Long time no see? I hope I was missed! So I am finally back with an update, and the next update will be out super soon too, till then enjoy this one.

Also, with the whole name fiasco, I feel so many of you didn't understand my point. But anyway, those who did, thank you. Means a lot.

My final decision wrt to this topic is I am not changing the name till I finish this story which is roughly a few more chapters. Maybe around or less than ten to go.

After the final draft will be completed, the story will be renamed to 'For ever and a day'. Until then, it's #AStarCrossedLove.

And another good news for today. I got my Permanent Registration as a doctor today, so I am legally Dr. Srishti Chakraborty. Yeay!!!!

Happy reading! ❤️

"Ah, Manik I was waiting for you!", Mrs. Chatterjee's enthusiastic yet teasy voice jolted both of them out of thir bubble.

"As you know, we all leave for Mumbai tomorrow, but today is their first night", She pointed at the newly weds, and Nandini smiled. She was about to propose a grand idea when all she felt was horror at the next set of words.

" and according to customs its Kal Ratri, so they cannot stay together. So you share the room with Abhik today and Anu will share with Nandini okay?", Mrs. Chatterjee's words were like a bomb explosion for both Manik and Nandini. They gaped at each other, and then at their family, not finding a word to speak. Abhik and Anushree had a really hard time controlling their laughter, Nandini and Manik looked so funnily adorable that even the elder couple could not help but smile that they had to so painstakingly hide.

Mrs. Chatterjee then got up, and her husband dutifully followed, smiling sweetly at Manik and Nandini, but while Manik was too busy sulking, Nandini's brain was far more alert and receptacle to notice her surroundings. Anyway, as soon as the elder couple moved out, the younger Chatterjees burst out laughing so hard that it even became difficult to breathe.

"Man, this is the best wedding gift, I could ask for", Abhik managed to speak between his laughter, and Manik smiled sarcastically at him, slumping down on the bed.

"Why not? You got married and I get Jail sentence as my birthday gift", he complained, and even Nandini chuckled at that.

It was seven in the evening. They all had, had a late lunch, and then Manik's birthday celebrations, and then the mess both Manik and Nandini created, and now Manik knew he hardly had a few hours, before everyone would want to sleep because they were all dead tired with the wedding either way. Manik too was fatigued, but the almost kiss the in the elevator had ignited a fire in him, and to top that, he had challenged his wife who he knew was going to rub it in his face. He tilted his head to look at Nandini who was staring at him with a smirk on her face, her eyebrow raised, and her entire demeanour teasing.

"Why aren't you sad by the way? Isn't this your first night? Weren't you excited?", Manik complainied again to his best friend, who blushed, and so did his newly wedded bride, but they also laughed.

"Uhh, technically, it isn't going to be our first night exactly", Anushree chuckled, and Manik's eyes went wide, while Nandini started laughing at his expressions.

"Not everyone has an arranged marriage Manik, and not every husband prefers sleeping on their first night, without waiting for the wife to finish her sandwiches", she teased him, referring to their first night, and Manik's cheeks flushed, he began rubbing his nape to avoid the conversation.
