Moonlight From Above

CHAPTER 1

"What's our next subject?" My classmate asked me while i'm finishing my notes because when it comes on writing, mabagal ako magsulat.

"Research pa 'rin." I said.

"Say what? Double period tayo sa research?! Eh bakit pa lumabas si Prof?" She asked. Sabagay relate din naman ako kasi kahit ilang buwan na akong nag-aaral hindi ko pa 'rin kabisado sched ko.

"Hindi mo ba narinig? Binigyan lang tayo ng ten minutes break kasi next period din natin double period and Contemporary arts pa."

"Grabe sobrang pinu-puno talaga nila sched natin porke three days half days natin." Jem looks so frustrated. "Sana nag HUMSS nalang ako! Edi sana hindi ako nahihirapan."

"Loka lahat ng strands mahihirap."

She shrugged and turned my back at me after Gelo called her.

"Uhm Jem pwede mo ba ako samahan sa canteen?"

"Oo naman!" Medyo nakaramdam kasi ako ng gutom kaya naman nang makarating kami sa canteen ay ang daming tao. "Ano ba bibilhin mo?"

"Fries lang." I said and I took a bente pesos bill at my wallet and pumila ako sa mga bumibili.

"Ohh i'm going to buy some bread muna." She said and she walked away and my eyes gazed at the entrance of the canteen and saw Hollace who looks so annoyed.

I can see a girl chasing him and she kept on pulling him but Hollace will just clench his jaw and walk away together with his friends Hunter and Ken.

"I already have a fucking girlfriend, ano sa tanginang 'I already have a fucking girlfriend' ang hindi mo maintindihan?" He said and the girl pouted, she looks so stupid while doing that.

"I won't stop hanga't hindi ko siya nakikilala at pag nalaman kong mas maganda ako sa kanya mas lalo akong hindi hihinto!" She said and I just shrugged and paid for my fries.

"Sure?" Hollace asked and I'm clueless of their actions because i'm facing the girl who sells fries.

My eyes widened when someone pulled me when I was about to take the fries and it fell down! Darn I can see my fries laying at the cold floor.

"Margareth Gui Arceo my girlfriend." The girl looks shocked.

"B-But... fine! I give up!" She rolled her eyes and walked away.

"Look what you've done." I said as I point my finger at the fries. "Nakakaperwisyo ka."

"I'll buy you a new one." He said as he talked to the girl who sells fries.

"No need, you eat it, kapos na ako sa time marami pa akong gagawin." I said and walked away when I saw Jem, I pulled her.

We are so close at our room when someone called me.

"Oh." He's handing me small paperbag filled with fries. "That's plain because I don't know what flavor you like-"

"Thanks." I took the fries and entered our room.

I can hear him saying 'Woah' after I left him, I shouldn't say 'Thanks' nga eh since utang niya naman 'to but nevermind.

I was busy listening to our Research teacher when I saw my little brother looking so lost outside our room so I raised my hand to excuse myself.

"Sir, i'll go outside po andoon po bunso kong kapatid."

He's ten years old and si Megan naman ay sixteen years old at grade ten student siya.

"Marcus, why are you here? Wala ka bang klase?"

"Ate, I lost my baon." He said and I looked at him with my brows furrowed. "Well, we went to the gym for our Physical Education then when I came back at our room wala na money ko."
