CHAPTER 9

ANDREA'S POV

"Did you not like the food?"

Napa-tigil ako sa pagkain nang magsalita si benile.

"No, I like it" I smiled "Thank you"

He's really fun to talk to. We've been talking for quite some time now and he's really nice and accommodating.

"Do you want to watch a movie this friday? There's a new movie I'd like to watch with you" ani niya "I promise I won't do anything bad to you"

"Okay" sagot ko "Wala naman akong gagawin sa biyernes"

"Akala ko hindi ka na papayag"

I'm just doing all of this because Mr. Martinez said so. Hindi na rin masama. Mabait ito kaya wala akong nakikitang masama kung sasama ako sa kanya.

"I like watching movies" sagot ko "Ano bang movie ang papanuorin natin?"

"Trolls" walang pag-aalilangang sagot nito

"What?" natawa ako sa sinabi nito "Are you serious?"

I never knew a grown ass man would watch stuff like that.

He scratched his neck and looked away "You don't like it?"

"No" umiling ako "I just didn't expect your answer"

"Thank God" he giggled "I thought you don't like it"

Makalipas ang ilang minuto ay nagpa-alam ako sa kanya para pumunta sa banyo.

"Excuse me" sabi ko at tumayo "Pupunta lang ako sa banyo"

"Okay, I'll wait for you here" he smiled

Ngumiti ako at iniwan siya. The restaurant is quite huge kaya ilang minuto pa bago makarating sa banyo. Hindi paman ako nakakarating ay may napansin akong pamilyar na lalaki malapit sa table namin ni benile

"Mr. Martinez" sabi ko at ibinaba ang dyaryong tumatakip sa mukha nito

"Andrea" He said and looked away

"Bakit po kayo nandito?" umupo ako sa upuan na nasa harapan niya "Bakit hindi niyo po ako tinawagan? Do you need anything?"

Kanina pa ba siya nandito?

"No, I just want to eat here. That's all" he said still looking away

Wait, is he shy?

"You should have told me sir, para naman ako na ang umorder para sa inyo"

This is strange. Alam kong hindi siya mahilig pumunta sa thai restaurant kaya nagtataka ako kung bakit siya nandito ngayon

"I can handle myself" he replied "And I don't really want to disturb your date with benile"

"Paano niyo po nalaman?" nagtatakang tanong ko.

I didn't tell him that me and benile would eat lunch together. Sinusundan niya ba kami? No. That's impossible

"Benile told me" sagot ko

"Should I call him, sir?"

Tatayo na sana ako pero hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at pinigilan ako.

"There's no need for him to know that I'm here, aalis naman din ako ngayon"

"Okay" I replied

Binitiwan nito ang kamay ko at tumayo "Don't tell benile that I'm here"

Kahit na naguguluhan ay tumango parin ako. Hindi naman siguro big deal kung malaman ni benile na nandito siya, bakit ayaw niyang sabihin kay benile?

"Okay, sir" sagot ko

SEAN'S POV

"Did you not like the food?" rinig kong tanong ni benile

Damn, I've been here for quite some time now, busy stalking benile and andrea. I've been restraining myself from following them, but I can't seem to stop myself from wanting to hear their conversation. Umupo ako sa table na malapit sa kanila para marinig ang pinag-uusapan nila.

I'm just doing this because I care about andrea, she's my secretary after all. Baka magluko na naman si benile kaya dapat ko silang bantayan. I know this is none of my business but I don't give a fuck, gagawin ko ang gusto kong gawin.

"Do you want to watch a movie this friday? tanong ni benile kay andrea

I smirked. I know andrea would decline that offer.

"Okay, wala naman akong gagawin sa biyernes"

Fuck!

Napamura ako nang marinig kong pumayag si andrea. They're laughing right now, and I don't know why, but it irritates me. This is all my fault. If I hadn't said what I said yesterday, she wouldn't accept benile's offer.

Agad kong tinakpan ang mukha ko gamit ang dyaryo nang mapansin kong papalapit si andrea. Damn. Did she see me? I would die in embarrassment if she caught me here.

Nagulat ako nang may tumabig sa dyaryong binabasa ko.

"Mr. Martinez"

Lihim akong napamura nang makita si andrea sa harapan ko. She caught me. What should I do?

"Andrea"

"Bakit po kayo nandito?" sabi nito at umupo sa harapan ko "Bakit hindi niyo po ako tinawagan? Do you need anything?"

"No, I just want to eat here. That's all" sabi ko at umiwas ng tingin

I don't even like thai food. Alam kong nagtataka na ito kung bakit ako nandito. I need to leave here immediately before she notices that I'm following them.

"Don't tell benile that I'm here" sabi ko at umalis na

I took a deep breath when I finally left the restaurant. Damn, what should I do? I can't hear their conversations anymore.

What if benile offered to let him go to his house? Andrea is naive, I know she'll accept his offer without thinking anything weird about it.

Pumasok ako ng sasakyan at pumunta sa office. I should stop thinking about andrea and do my work.

Fuck! I feel dizzy.
