could you please do some headcanons for oikawa, sugawara, and nishinoya with an s/o that loves music and is a big nerd about it? like talking about the history of some genres, music theory, and their experiences with music? i'm so sorry if this is too specific, i just thought i would give it a shot! have a great day/evening!!

OIKAWA, SUGAWARA, AND NISHINOYA WITH A MUSIC NERD S/O

TOORU OIKAWA 

- he first met you when he was running away from Iwa after practice and barged into a random classroom, which just happened to be a music theory classroom.

- you were writing these elaborate symbols and music notes on the whiteboard, deep in thought, so you didn't notice him at first. 

-  he just stood there, staring at them and you, trying to make sense of what class he had just burst into (and trying to make sense of how attractive the person standing in front of him was)

- then, as an excuse to talk to you, he asked you about the symbols and you explained them to him, and he was in awe of how much you knew. 

-  the two of you became close friends from there, and eventually started dating. It was like the cute jock/nerd dynamic. 

- oikawa does NOT understand music theory at all (rip), but he loves listening to you talk about it because he loves to see the sparkling, passionate look in your eyes.  

- eventually, he learns some basics of music theory because he knows you're passionate about it and doesn't want to look completely clueless in front of you.

- if you play an instrument(s), oikawa loves hyping you up and listening to you play. 

- and then in the car you two jam out to different song genres as well, like dramatic musical music or rock. 

- oikawa playfully teases you about being a nerd, but with nose boops and kisses because he thinks its cute.

- but if his fangirls make fun of you or call you a nerd... well, they better run. 

- brags to his entire volleyball team about how smart you are

- the two of you keep each other from overworking yourselves since the both of you have hobbies you're very passionate about. you watch out for each other's health. 

KOUSHI SUGAWARA

- sugawara, like oikawa, loves hearing you talk about things you're passionate about.

- i like to think suga was in band in middle school, so he knows the basics of music atleast. 

- he loves seeing that adorable, excited look on your face when you talk about your favorite genres of music. 

- at these times, he often finds himself staring into your eyes without meaning to, and then blushing when he's caught.

- suga often asks you to tell him about music history (partly because he's genuinely interested in the history and also because he loves the sound of your voice) 

- after a long, hard day, suga loves pulling you onto his chest while you two snuggle in bed, while the two of you either watch documentaries or just talk to each other about volleyball and music while he plays with your hair or relaxingly rubs your back. 

- he asks you what your favorite music pieces are from famous historic musicians and puts them all on a tape, then slow-dances with you to them in the empty living room. (this is so cute omfg) 

- you two also incorporate your hobbies into fluffy activities

- like for example, when you two were baking, suga handed you a badly decorated (but yummy)! music note cookie and you gave him an adorable volleyball one. 

- for special occasions such as your birthday or just sometimes on any random day, suga buys you two concert tickets/musical tickets and the two of you get dressed up and have a fun date!! 

YUU NISHINOYA

- he literally thinks it's so amazing how cool and smart you are

- he doesn't know a lot about music theory, he just has a good taste in music and knows what the different genres are. 

- and so, the two of you also jam out in the car to your favorite songs, and when you explain the history of the genres to you, he's so interested

- his face is like- :0

- "i didn't know rock came from America! you're so smart, [name]!" 

- he teases you for being a nerd too but he loves you and your nerdiness so so much and he makes sure you know that

- he's wayyyy too energetic at night, when it's time to sleep

- but when you want him to calm down you ask him if he wants to hear you a story about the history of music or some experiences you had in your classes, he'll instantly calm down and cuddle you and wait for you to tell you the story while you stroke his hair. 

- he surprisingly retains the knowledge??? now if only he could do that for his actual subjects and he wouldn't be failing all the time

- in the time nishinoya has dated you, he's learned a lot about music theory to the point where his friends tease him

- "wow, who would have known [name] could actually make an idiot like you smarter?" / "shut up!" 

- you actually convince him to take a music theory class with you and he loves it. it's like the first class he doesn't fail

- he even picks up learning an instrument like guitar and loves playing songs for you/dedicating songs for you
