Chapter 21: Drunk Friends

The party ended very late at night. The majority of people being drunk, they had to go for a check in on a hotel nearby.

Sonic and the others were also drunk, sleepy, and tired. Sonic was the one who had to drive them home. Shadow was fast asleep.

Earlier, Scourge was teasing them as to why they drink small amount of liqueurs. Pissed off and felt humiliated in front of the others, they decided to 'prove' the asshole wrong. Even Tails and Mephiles was on it too.

Silver immediately fell asleep inside the car. Only the snoring sounds they made was heard. Good thing Sonic was able to control himself from drinking too much.

The girls were having no problem. They were only exhausted and are asleep.

"Well, see you next time then. We'll try keep in touch through call or text. Be careful on your way home!" Vector and the others said as they bid them farewell

Sonic was currently driving. Rouge and the others went ahead of them. They were too sleepy to wait for the boys. It also took time to get them in the car.

Sonic freed his one hand on the wheel then rubbed his temples, sighing as he looked behind the passenger seat. Seeing them peacefully sleeping makes him more tired himself. He wanted to get home fast.

Luckily, since it was very late at night, there weren't any traffic on the road.

He hummed to himself on the way. He was also thinking on how to get the people behind him on their rooms.

"I still can't believe Tails and even Mephiles fell for that green bastard" Sonic groaned in disbelief

Then, his thoughts were suddenly cut off as he felt a weight on his right arm. He looked at his side only to see Shadow's head on top of his arm still asleep.

Sonic snorted at the sight. He didn't bother pushing him back. He was in that position until they got back home.

When they were there, he got outside to see the lights were turned off from the inside.

Assuming they were already asleep, he quietly opened the garage, carefully parking their car.

He got out of the car and closed the garage's door.

He silently stepped inside of the house and still didn't see anyone. He looked back in his car and cussed to himself.

"I guess I have to carry them one by one inside" Sonic bit his bottom lip in frustration

He opened the car door. He first carried Scourge on his shoulder. He winced. Him alone was already too damn heavy.

Still, he managed to get inside of the house. He stumbled on his way upstairs. He gently placed Scourge on the guests room's bed.

He went back downstairs. Once he picked up Silver, there was a low mutter that called him.

"Sonic?"

Sonic almost jumped and was close to dropping Silver in surprise. The hedgehog he was holding groaned.

He sighed in relief and looked behind him.
