POV: Grian

I set down my pencil and sketch book, trying not to smudge my latest drawing. It was Mumbo's arm, the broken one. I've done robotics before, NPC Grian and Robot Grian, so constructing an arm for Mumbo would be easy. It would put a thin layer of metal Over his arm and fingers, allowing him to move his fingers and arm with minimum pain. It would also act as a much tougher cast, rather than the old bandages wrapped around Mumbo's arm. It was the least I could to for the mustached hermit, he'd helped me so much. I opened the drawer next to my bed, filled with NPC's old parts. I picked out a screwdriver, and a few metal sheets before starting to get to work.

"Grian?!"

Iskall's voice came from downstairs. I groaned, placing down the blowtorch that had been helping me mend to pieces of metal together. I removed some goggles and gloves off my eyes and hands, putting them next to the prototype of Mumbo's arm. I braved myself for whatever Iskall wanted as I walked down the stairs, watching as Iskall trudged up the stairs, shoving past me and entering my room. I ran after him, watching as he walked over to my desk and picked up the metal glove that I had been working on.

"What's This?"
"O-oh. It's for Mumbo. It would kinda be like a cast, but it would let him use his arm more."
"You know about robotics?"
"Y-yeah. I've done some experiments."

"Well, it looks about done. I'll bring it over to Mumbo."
"I don't think that's a good idea, I haven't tested i-"
"It's fine Grian, I'll tell him that's it's from you."
"I-...okay.. please tell him it's a prototype.."

He didn't respond, only taking the glove and rushing out the door. I was about to go and stop him, but I just let out a heavy breath, relaxing my shoulders. I needed a break, I've been working for hours. I slowly walked down the stairs, dragging my hand against the wall. I hoped Mumbo like it, I spent way to long on it.

POV: Iskall

I landed at my base, holding Grian's invention in my hand. I just wanted to make some minor tweaks. I grabbed my toolbox, taking apart the circuit board to re-wire a couple of things. After fifteen minutes, I tightened the last screw, holding the metal glove in my hands. I wiped my brow, smiling at my work. I held the glove in my hands as I shot into the sky, heading towards Mumbo's base. I used rockets to speed through the sky, almost crashing into Mumbo's base. I managed to pull up last second to make a swift landing, The glove still in my hand. Mumbo was in his bed, watching as I ran over to him, trying to catch my breath.

"What are you doing here..?"
"I..I have something from Grian for you. It's kinda like a robotic cast. It should let you use your arm a little more."

Mumbo's ears perked up at that, as he began ripping the old bandages off his arm. His arm was incredibly pale underneath the bandages, skinny too. I handed him the grey glove that was covered in a thin sheet of metal, and He instantly put it on. The glove was long, it reached hit elbow. The end of the glove seemed to tighten around his arm, and Mumbo flexed his fingers in return.

"Woah..I don't feel any pain."
"Yeah.. Grian worked hard on it."
"Thanks Iskall. I'm glad you're being nicer to Grian. He means a lot to me."

I nodded, leaving Mumbo to his new arm. While he wasn't looking, I pulled out a small remote from my pocket, praying that this would work. I moved the joystick on it a bit, before Mumbo screamed in pain. I shoved the remote back, running over to Mumbo.

"Mumbo, what's wrong?"
"M-my arm! It went stiff, I-I can't move it!"
"Can you take the glove off?"
"N-no, it's stuck!"
"Come on, let's go and see Grian."

I helped Mumbo walk to the Bubblevator, his arm staying stiff as we walked all the way to Grian's base. I saw Grian outside stretching, calling out to him. He looked up and rushed over when he was Mumbo. The three of us made our way inside, Grian grabbing a toolbox and trying to take apart the glove. I could see Mumbo's red face when Grian scooted a little closer, the two sitting on the stairs. I tried controlling Mumbo's arm again, but Grian ended up taking the glove apart, leaving Mumbo free from my control.

"I-I don't understand..I spent hours on this, what happened?"
"It's okay Grian, it was probably just a bug."

I watched as Mumbo wrapped his good arm around Grian's waist, pulling him a bit closer as he comforted the small gremlin. I shoved my anger down, very well knowing that Grian would just hurt Mumbo again. I couldn't let the two become any closer.

I had to stop them.
