"Congratulations, third years! You all have passed the challenges and obstacles as a middle schooler. May you all succeed and look forward to your next school year." The principal's voice blasted from the speakers. Everyone rose from their seats, clapping and smiling.

Truth be told, I have wished this day to come, to finally achieve what I wanted. This will be the final moment. I'm bidding farewell to this school.

Students started to cry and some where hugging each other as I slowly moved away from the crowd. I refrain having myself from interacting like those people and getting attached.

"(y/n)! (y/n) Kang!"

A voice suddenly appeared out-of-nowhere. I know this person. I know this person who is calling me. I turned away from the opposite direction of the voice but before I could move, a cold grip on my right arm stopped me.

"(y/n). Listen to me."

I had talked this matter to you. There's nothing I must listen about.

Jihyun 'Bam' Han, a 2nd year middle school student, who relentlessly tells me not to leave him. I was always careful with my words but I never expected a student, a year level below mine would get extremely attached to me.

I twisted my arm with all might until I finally got my freedom. Before he could even grab me again, I ran as fast as I could --- away from the auditorium, away from him.

Why is Bam here? This event is only for 3rd year.

I ran through the hallway of a building. The whole area was silent except for my running footsteps and breathing. Each classroom I passed were empty.

I stopped to catch my own breath. Beads of sweat trickled down from my forehead. Strands of my (h/c) hair sticked to different directions.

Before I could even notice, a strong face came in contact from behind causing me to fall down. My eyes widened as my back fell straight on the floor. Bam has caught up with me. He slammed his arms on both of my sides, in a sense that I couldn't escape. His golden irises were looking into my eyes. I could see his tears starting to form. He was catching his own breath too.

"Where. . . Where are you going?!"

I fell silent. Do I really need to answer him again and again?

"I'm leaving this school. I'm heading to Tower Academy."

Bam frowned at me. He always does whenever I tell him I want to leave this school.

"Remember what I told you Bam? I want to enter the Tower Academy. I can get a good career in the future if I studied there... I won't be like those other people who ended up jobless."

I closed my eyes, imagining what I just said. It really feels good. I opened my eyes, meeting his gold irises once more. I continued.

"So. . . I'm going to the Tower Academy."

My lips involuntarily curved into a smile. I have no idea what am I doing right now. Perhaps, this must be a farewell to Bam. The only person who push right through me.

"I'm sorry Bam. . . I'm sorry." My voice trailed off, shaking. "Forget about me."

He gripped me tight. "No (y/n)! Don't go!" He shouted, his voice echoing through the halls. I stayed silent, watching him shouting.

This poor boy. I just don't know what I exactly did that made him acted towards me this way.

"Don't do this (y/n)!" His tears fell from his eyes. He was crying loudly and I couldn't stand looking at him.

Before I could feel pity, I took the chance and kicked him towards his shin. He clutch his leg in pain as I left him in confusion and tears. Bam is such a hindrance. He can't continue acting like this.

I could hear him shout as I ran away from him.

"If you go! I'm going to follow you until I die!"

I flinched mentally while running. He's really not going to give up.

I reached the exit gates, exhausted from what I did. I took a one last glance at the Daewon Middle School.

You can't always follow me, Bam. I'm a year older than you. I'll be having the entrance exam soon. Pray for me.

I guess this is it, goodbye. Bam.
