32. the new beginning

Yuuki Kuran

That night. Kaname-Sama returned form the execution.

'And?' I asked.

'He escaped, but the girl is death. I asked Seiren to spy were they were going.'

'Kaname plies tell me,' I begged. ' why did Kaiya hate us. Why did she say that we killed her and you agree.'

'I agree, and let her escape because she was right, after all. I never saw it, Yuuri would never seen it but still she is right.'

'I still don't get the reason why she hate me,' I said.

'Because,' Kaname whispered and lie down next to me in bed. 'She was the one who have to die for your live. I don't know how she find out, but Yuuki you have been in the basement for 5 years. Don't you think there could be another girl playing your part?' Kaname hesitate. 'Kaiya is your twin, but Haruka and Yuuri could not both hide you in the basement. It was too small and the sound of two crying babies would betray us. We choose one of the babies. One have to live, the other have to die in Rido's hands, so Rido and the whole vampire society would think the daughters of the Kurans were death. They would think you would be death, that's why no one noticed that you look like me so much.'

'So Kaiya should die for my luck?' I said it shorter. He nodded.

'How could you let something like that happen!' I screamed to Kaname. I remember a day, I had smelled blood outside and I walked to the door but didn't dare to open it. A girls voice was outside and answers my question. ''I am Kaiya, I fell down the stairs and you?'' I felt dizzy.

'I let this happen because, I was happy I still had you. Kaiya was a tool for the family and I think Rido would have been the same. A black sheep, who fall out of the family and had to serve it in his or her own home.'

'Had she really that kind bad childhood?'

'She was always lonely, she never talked and father never let one of the servants talk with her. It would destroy or plan to save you. I know that Kaiya randomly started walking without creeping. The servants who give her food said she had started creeping two months ago and as no one noticed, not me, mom was always with you and Haruka did not dare to look at the child.'

'I wish I could talk with her again,' I said. 'I would have understand her world.'

'You can't,' Kaname said. 'The Kaiya I knew was always alone and never let someone hurt her. Now she wants to kill us al. I think her bad childhood and also the hate feeling Akane and Rido had given her kicked Kaiya in the darkness. She would not see or innocence anymore.'

'But if you let her live, she will always come back!'

'She will.' Kaname closed his eyes. That means the end of this conversation.

Later this school years, Kaname did go out for vampire reasons more than normal. He said it would be a surprise for me. I hope he was searching for Kaiya so I could apologize.

But he wasn't. Two weeks before the last school day he said to me that I had to follow him. We went back to an old graveyard.

'What are you doing? ' I asked when Kaname opened an old catacomb.

'Trust me,' he said. We walked down a long stair and followed than an hidden corridor.

'We are there,' Kaname said. He stopped by two crypts without names.

'What are we doing here,' I asked. 'And what are you doing Onii-san!' Kaname opened on of the crypts. I did not dare to look in, Kaname pointed at the body. I walked forwards and gashed.

'Dad?'

'Yes, Haruka Kuran,' Kaname said. 'I thought from the beginning that we was hit in his heart, but he wasn't. If he was, his body would disappear like every other pureblood vampire would have done.'

'Doe that means he is alive?'

'Well, he was hit in his Aorta* healing a would cost a lot of time and his body get less blood. He pass out and fell in coma. Yuuri also did but she felt in it because of the spell,' Kaname said. 'Don't you think they have been sleeping for too long. I have a spell that can let them wake up. But this spell would also make that they have a life time of a human. That means they would die soon again.'

'I doesn't matter,' I said. 'Plies let them wake up!'

'Alright, give me your hand.' I did what Kaname asked of me. He closed his so I did. Kaname said some strange words and the energy was flowing away from me. Before I would pass out, Kaname let my hand go and walked first to Kaname and then to Yuuri. He touched both their heads and whispered something. Not long later mom and dad opened their eyes.

'What happened?' Yuuri whispered. It was the sound I had been missing for such a long time.

'Oh my god,' She said when she saw me and Kaname standing next to each other.

'My precious children,' she said and climbed out the coffin. Haruka also did an hugged me.

'You have become a real powerful vampire Kaname and Yuuki you have become a beautiful woman,' Haruka said. 'Thanks daddy.'

Kaiya Akane

'Do you like it?' Akio asked. I was standing on a balcony with a view over the lake. Akio and I bought a small forest house in the mountains. It's was our place now. I took us real long before we went on with our live. Thinks had change so much now Kerria is death. Akio picked my hand and we both watch de sunset. 'I am so happy we found our place,' Akio said.

'I am so happy Seiren do not spy on us again,' I said. Seiren have been spying on us the first three months. That's why I didn't want to buy a house, or Akio bought it. After we bought she came less and the last three months I haven't felt her aura. (That's not the reason but Kaiya thinks it is. The reason is that Kaname wants to hide that Kaiya is alive for his parents. He thinks they would underestimate her and Kaiya would only feel more hate if she find out.)

'I think Seiren will come ones in a half year, just to spy if I am not pregnant.'

'Why?'

'I am a pureblood and not even a pureblood I am girl. A man don't always get a pureblood child with a normal vampire of aristocrats. A woman pureblood always get a pureblood child. That's why Sarah Shirabuki, Shizuka Houi and also Yuuki were that important.'

'Let forget it, you don't want to be a pureblood and that means not think about. Just enjoy the fresh air, the view and he sound of forest.'

'Alright,' I said and I smiled.
