The young couple raced out of the school, heading towards the area that would cause the version of 1985 that they now knew. They watched as George punched Biff, and he fell to the ground.
"Yes!" Marty exclaimed excitedly. They waited it out behind the car, and watched their other selves.
"Talk about déjà vu," Rosie said softly, watching as the past Marty held her past self. She grabbed his hand and smiled at him. He smiled back. They watched as Lorraine and George connected hands, and walked into the school. They then watched their other selves walk away. They ran towards Biff.
"Okay everybody, let's back up now," Marty said as they worked their way through the crowd. "Let's back up. Let's everybody just back up and give him a little bit of room, okay."
"It's okay. I know CPR. I know CPR," Rosie said as they kneeled beside him. Biff started to wake up.
"What's CPR," a bystander said.
"You!" Biff exclaimed, coming to. Rosie grabbed the almanac as Marty punched Biff, causing him to fall back once more.
"He's fine," he said as they rushed away.
"Doc, it was a success, we got it," Rosie said as they ran.
"Thank goodness! Great, Rosie," Doc said, working on the DeLorean. "As soon as I reload the fusion generator, I'll meet you on the roof of the high school gym."
"On the roof, ten four," Marty said, taking the walkie talkie from her. They turned a corner, and came across a gang of boys.
"Hey, it's him!"
"Hey, he's in disguise!"
"Guys whats that?" Marty exclaimed, pointing behind them. They turned and Marty grabbed Rosie's hand, beginning to run, knocking into the boys, and making them fall.
Doc continued to work on the DeLorean, and it rose upwards. He turned the wheel and began to drive. Suddenly, sparks flew.
"Damn!" He exclaimed.
Marty and Rosie walked back into the dance to hear Earth Angel playing. They looked around and saw their parents dancing. They saw their past selves once more. They smiled as Marty's parents kissed for the first time. Suddenly, the door behind them opened, and they ducked next to a set piece. Marty rolled under it, and pulled Rosie with him.
"Where did he go?"
"He just came in here!" The goons said. They then noticed the boy at the microphone.
"Look! How did he get up on stage?"
"I don't know, but when he gets down, we're gonna nail him."
"How the hell did he change his clothes so fast?" They walked away and Marty and Rosie watched from their hiding spot. They ran up to the area behind the stage, and Marty pulled the walkie talkie out.
"Listen, Biff's guys chased us into the gym and they're gonna jump... me," he said.
"Then get outta there!" Doc exclaimed obviously.
"No, Doc, not him. The other Marty," Rosie explained. "The one that's up on stage playing Johnny B. Goode."
"Great Scott! Your other selves will miss the lightning bolt at the clock tower, you won't get back to the future and we'll have a major paradox!"
"Wait wait wait, a paradox?" Rosie said. "You mean one of those things that can destroy the universe?"
"Precisely. You two have to stop those guys at all costs, but without being seen by either of your other selves of your parents," Doc informed them, still steering the DeLorean through the night.
"Ten-four," Marty yelled again, looking behind the cutout.
Outside of the school, Biff had woken up and came to his senses. He stood up, and started looking for Marty, realizing that he didn't have his book.
Inside of the gym, Johnny B. Goode was still playing through the speakers. Marty and Rosie watched as the goons moved the streamers out of their way, and walked up to the side of the stage. Seeing ropes connected to sandbags, the two climbed up a ladder to the top of the stage. Rosie balanced on the swinging object above the stage, and Marty followed. She reached over and grabbed the rope, untying it. She nearly fell, and Marty grabbed her ankle, steadying her. They swung down on a rope, and landed backstage. The young couple dropped the sandbags on the boys heads, running down the stairs.
"Hey Doc, success. Everything's cool," Marty said into the walkie talkie.
"Great. I'll be landing at the school roof in about one minute." Doc replied.
"We'll be there," Rosie said, feeling accomplished. They got to the door, and walked into the cool night air as the alternate Marty and Rosie walked down the staircase once more. They looked inside and saw themselves, before being rudely interrupted.
"Hey buttheads. You think those stupid disguises would get by me?" Biff asked. "Let's have it out. You and me, Calvin Klein, right now."
"No thanks," Rosie said, pulling Marty away.
"What's the matter? Where you goin'? Are you chicken?" Biff asked, and Marty stopped in his tracks. Rosie shook her head. Oh no. "That's it, isn't it? Nothing but a little chicken."
Marty let go of Rosie's hand, turned around, and began to walk slowly towards Biff.
"Nobody calls me chick-," he started, but the door opened, and Marty and Rosie ran out. The door hit Marty, and he fell back. Rosie ran towards him, and set a hand on his forehead as he panted.
"What the hell?" Biff said, before grabbing the almanac from inside Marty's jacket. "You steal my stuff?" He then kicked Marty in the gut.
"Hey!" Rosie yelled.
"And this ones for my car!" Biff exclaimed, before kicking him again. He walked back to his car, and took off. Marty tried to stand up, but struggled.
"Take it easy Marty," Rosie said, helping him up, and wiping some blood off his cheek. They ran towards the car as Marty held onto his side. They ran up the ladder, and Marty clutched his stomach tightly.
"Doc we blew it!" Marty exclaimed. "Biff nailed me. He took the book. He drove away with it in his car. It's my fault Doc. We should have got out of there sooner.
"We're a team Marty," Rosie said, lifting his shirt up to check his injuries.
"No time for that now. Which way did he go?" Doc said.
"East towards the River Road tunnel," Rosie said.
"Get in!" Doc exclaimed. They walked into the DeLorean, and took off.
