Time was a funny thing. When Taylor was with him there never seemed to be enough hours in the day. Without him one hour felt like three months.

The day right after the break up was the worst.

Taylor smiled when she woke up; it was that blissful moment when you first wake up, when you can't quite recall the past events and are blissfully unaware of all the bad things. Yet that moment is just a moment. The memories washed over Taylor, the smile quickly fading from her face. Along with it went the sparkle in her ocean eyes.

Why did you go away?

The thought echoed in her mind accompanied by flashes of his face, memories of good times, along with the heartbreaking phone call.

It felt like a nightmare, except sleep was her escape rather than source.

Taylor refused to leave her room; the door remained locked despite the please of workers for her to come out and eat, take her mind off of Joe.

Joe. A simple three letter name, common. Yet it cause pain unlike any other. The memory of the magical time they spent together was now accompanied but bittersweet pain and broken trust.

Despite the pain she still felt, tears no longer flowed down her check, her throat was no longer raw from screaming, and her eyes no longer held the same liveliness.

The word continued to flow; her mind working, coping with the heartache. Lyrics and rhythms filled the room. A haunting melody played on the piano, a song of loss and wonder played on the guitar, and a song of first heartbreak left unfinished.

Each day blurred into the other for Taylor. Every morning would be filled with a moment ofo bliss, before the skies turned grey once more.

To occupy her mind Taylor turned to the one thing that was always there for her, music. Closing her eyes she spent her time getting lost in the lyrics.

And slowly she healed. Gradually she returned to normal, but was never the same. There were moments when loneliness would creep in, the silence was too loud without his laughter, and the memories never truly faded because she continued to feed them with memories of their love.  They lingered in the corners of her mind, mostly she never noticed them until night, when she would wake up screaming for him to return.

Eventually those nightmares became less and less frequent, the memories less potent.

But there was a feeling she missed, love. The happiness waking up and having some one be the reason you smile, knowing that they will be here for you not matter what, knowing some one loves for your flaws and quirks is the most amazing feeling ever. When you get butterflies at the mere though of his name and you can't help but smile and you eyes light up. It's the most amazing indescribable feeling ever. It's wonderful.

For Taylor the feeling of being loved and in love was addictive.
