Briar Rose's POV

I took the towel away from Matthew and rung it out in the sink to get rid of the sweat. He must have ran quickly because his breathing patterns got heavier and heavier each second. His panic attack wasn't getting any calmer.

"Harry, get Matt some water!" I asked.

Harry rushed to the water fountain next to the kitchen door. Just then, the house phone rang. The caller ID read Winston Ve Onel.

"James residents, Briar Rose speaking." I stated into the phone.

"Good morning, is Mr. James at the ceremony?" the caller asked.

"Who is this calling?" I asked walking towards Matthew.

"That's not important now. Tell him that more people are dying and even more people are going to get procedures. He needs to stop giving the surgeries and the same for his wife, too. We're all going to be under arrest if he doesn't quit this!" the caller yelled. Then, he hung up.

I dropped the phone. Harry ran over and picked it up. "Briar? What's wrong?" he asked.

I looked him right in his green eyes. "People are dying." I mumbled.
