Chapter 45

I tapped my lip and mindlessly stared at the wall snapping my attention to Jefferson when he spoke, "how does James Grant Laufeyson sound?" I pursed my lips thinking about it before grinning, "wait a second how do you know Bucky's first name and Steve's middle name?" he grinned, "well Bucky told me his first name when I asked the second day of knowing him and as for Steve you chased after him after he stole your phone and you screamed at him Steven Grant Rogers give me back my damn phone or I will take your Bucky privileges from you." I giggled as he reminded me of the time I chased Steve, "I thought we were home alone when that happened." he shook his head, "nope I was just being my quiet little self." I rolled my eyes at his statement, "we should probably show the rest of the family little James." he nodded, "you wanna take him or should I?" I stood wincing at the pain, "you should." he nodded and took James from Grace's arms and I followed the duo down the stairs smiling when Steve scowled at me, "shouldn't you be on bedrest missy?" I rolled my eyes, "Steven shut up if I remember you were worse than I was back in the 40s having Bucky you more times than you can count." Steve's mouth snapped shout and Bucky chuckled nodding his head and Jefferson presented the baby, "meet James Grant Laufeyson." Loki's eyebrows crinkled, "why not your last name?" I giggled, "he doesn't technically have a last name dad."  he nodded and Bucky made a grabbing motion with his hands, "I wanna hold him." Jefferson passed Bucky the baby and I leaned against the doorframe watching as our son was passed around after everyone held him I grabbed James and held him cooing as he let out a yawn causing me to yawn as well Jefferson smiled, "aww that was adorable." I scowled at him, "I don't do adorable." he smiled wider, "you're reminding me of a little kitten." I rolled my eyes, "well I'm gonna lay him down for a nap and then take one myself since I didn't get any sleep for the past three days." I looked over at Bucky and noticed he was discreetly rubbing the back of Steve's hand I winked giving him a hidden thumbs up and I giggled as a blush creeped up his neck I climbed up the stairs and headed into the nursery laying James in the crib covering him with a fuzzy blanket which his tiny hands immediately clamped onto. I sighed and walked into Jefferson and I's room climbing under the covers pulling them over my head hiding my eyes from the relentless sun plunging into sleep

I stared at the forest around me. I noticed Jefferson's cottage slightly ahead of me. I walked towards it before I heard giggling behind me. I turned and saw Grace with Priscilla, "mama look what I found!" she held up a flower, "oh that's beautiful my love how about we go surprise papa." she nodded eagerly, "yeah!" I smiled at the scene unfolding before me. I watched as they entered the cabin and I watched from the window watching as Jefferson wrapped Grace into a hug, "I love you my darling Grace." I teared up spinning around hearing footsteps approach me, "welcome to my heaven." I spun around and immediately spotted Priscilla in the same attire I had seen her in last, "how did I get here?" she shrugged, "I'm guessing you wanted to see me again so your brain went into auto-pilot and you ended up here." I rubbed my forehead, "this is so stressful my god." she chuckled, "how did Grace take the news of being a big sister now?" I smiled, "she was so excited saying she'll protect him with her life." I shook my head, "I would never allow that to happen of course." she furrowed her brow, "what do you mean Luna." I looked at her confused, "I would give my life for all three of them before I ever allowed them to give their life for one another." she shook her head, "you won't be there forever." I shook my head, "maybe not, but I'll do what I can to prevent it." she kissed my forehead, "come visit me again it was nice to talk to someone for once instead of just reliving memories." I nodded, "of course you're a friend now." I hugged her and watched as the world around me faded.
