Y/N is Mirio's older sibling (by 1 or 2 yrs). Growing up, Mirio introduced Y/N and Tamaki, thus a friendship was formed and the three of them were very close as children. Tamaki was Y/N's best friend, and despite not having a heroic quirk, they made him promise that when he became a hero, they would be his sidekick/mad scientist on the sidelines.
However, during Y/N's 3rd year in junior high, they left to attend a prestigious school in America, and earned an early scholarship. The two ended up losing touch shortly after.
One boring day at U.A. high, Tamaki Amajiki is called to the counselor's office for a regular meeting. Walking to the office, he greets the nice office ladies with a wave. Reaching the door, he gives a fling to his wrist. A knock is heard and a voice calls out from behind the door, "Come in!" Quietly opening the door, he's greeted with the chair in front of him being turned around so it isn't facing him. "Tamaki Amajiki" the voice spoke. There was a strange familiarity to it. Tamaki's brain quickly began debating who it was-he knew it wasn't the counselor. Was it a villain he had once encountered? If so, how did they get into the building? Are there more? Where is the counselor then? His hero-in-training-mode quickly activated as he began coming up with theories. He's able to connect voice to face as the chair turns around, "It's been a while" they smiled
There sits his long-lost childhood friend.
