I'm sitting in the teacher's lounge, grading papers when Ectoplasm suddenly stands up and groans. "What?" I ask, looking up from the current paper I was grading.
"None of these kids know anything about Algebra." he complains. "Nobody knows English! That's expected but just how bad it is!" I add on. "Well, except for Midoriya."
"What about him?" Aizawa speaks up. "He finished his paper in five minutes, with perfect marks. It wasn't that hard but still." I state. "Didn't Nezu day that his father was an american hero?" Maijima (Power Loader) asks. "Yeah. He did. I just didn't expect him to be so fluent in the language." I say.
"How did he do in your assessment?" Kayama (Midnight) asks. "He got third. He probably would have gotten first if he actually put any effort in the tests." he grumbles. "There was this one girl who got infinity on the ball throw because of her quirk." he adds. "Some did good with certain things, overall nothing quite too special. But they have potential." he finishes. "Did you expel anyone yet?" Ishiyama (Cementoss) asks. "No. Sadly. I have 21 students still." he groans.
"Why not 20 like normal?" Kayama asks. "Midoriya is technically also a Support student. So I have 20 full time hero students and one half time." he explains. "You make it sound like it's a job." she snorts.
"Izuku and Hatsume are scary together." Maijima states. "Izuku? Given name?" I ask. "He insisted that I call him his given name." he shrugs. I just shrug and continue grading.
"Oh my god." Ectoplasm says randomly. "What?" Thirteen asks. "That Midoriya kid got full marks." he says in disbelief. "Really?" they ask. "Yeah." he huffs. "Looks like he won't be much of a problem." he adds.
"Says you. Why can't they be like that for me?" Aizawa complains. "What do you mean?" Ishiyama questions. "One, Midoriya refused to use his quirks, and two, Todoroki refused to use his fire at all to help him. Three, Bakugo tried to start a fight with Midoriya. Four, Mineta was being weird towards the girls. Five -" Aizawa is cut off by Kayama "We get it." she says.
"He wasn't trouble for me, more so just really... creative." Maijima says. "I wonder how your students will do in the hero exercises." Ishiyama wonders out loud. "Let's hope well enough." Thirteen says.
"I hope that they do their worse so I can have an excuse to expel them." Aizawa says. "You would expel someone if they woke you up from a nap. You have before!" I point out. "Pft. That kid was being too loud." he defends himself.
"Whatever." I grumble.
Just then, Small Might walked through the door. It shocked us for the first time when we saw the big buff All Might turn into a boney guy who looks like he's ready to die.
"What did I miss?" he asks innocently. "Oh this year is going to be hell for you." Aizawa blurts out.
"Wow. Harsh." Thirteen jokes.
"What did I get myself into?" the blonde says weakly. I just laugh softly, followed by a couple other teachers.
This year will be something.
