KAZUMI

"Why?"

I couln't stop myself from thinking about negative things.

Miss was thinking. Emergency daw eh. Why don't you try to contact her and make sure she's okay?"

We agreed to what she said and excused ourselves.

We all looked at each other at it seems like we are all thinking about the same thing.

I can clearly see and hear the concern in Gia's voice and face.

"Cleo, stop crying and answer Gia's question," I was calm, but authority was visible in my tone.

We heard her stopped her cries. "I-I'm fine, guys."

I sighed. What is going on in Cleo's head? I know that sometimes she acts crazy but, I hope naman na hindi niya kami pag-aalahanin. I mean, we're already worrying, not that it's her fault though.

"Cleo, you can always tell us what's wrong."

"I a-ate a cake yesterdey, 'di ba?" Napatango naman kami sa sinabi niya, though it's useless because she can't see us.

I heard her cry again. Oops, I guess I spoke too soon no'ng sinabi kong nilalason ng cafe ang cutomers nila. Sira rin ata ulo ni Cleo eh. "I have pimples because of that damn cake!" she shouted and our tensed faces was left dumbfounded. Who in their right minds would cry so much as if someone died? I mean, wala naman siyang dapat iyakan, pimples are normal kahit ako nagkakaroon din. Well, maybe she's allergic to peanuts.

I was pissed kaya binabaan ko na siya. Not that I don't care about her, but she's really unbelievable. What a crazy woman, not that I don't think I am one myself. Girls will be girls.

We sat in our seats and started listening to what our teacher was discussing.

When the class was over, miss approached us.

"So, how is Ms. Cleopatra?" concern was visible in her voice.

I shook my head and smiled. "She's okay, miss. Nagka-allergic reaction lang siya, because she accidentally ate some peanuts which is I guess bad for her."

She nodded her head. "Well, that's good to hear. Please send her my regards."

We told her that we will as she bid us goodbye.

Lumapit sa amin sina Jazz. "What was that about? And why is Cleo absent?"

We decided to just buy snacks in the canteen. We sat down in the field. It's cloudy so hindi gano'n kainit ang panahon, tamang tama lang at napag-desisyonan namin na sa labas na lang kumain. It's also very windy kaya naman lumilipad ang nakalugay kong buhok.
