God, I don't have any idea why I was born to experience such a complicated life. I grew up and live thinking that I was just an unlucky girl who was left alone after my parents died in a car accident, and my brother was out—rebelled.

I was left alone to live with my aunt and cousins.

My eyes felt fascinated as Lazi remained under my gaze, following his every move. I mentally recalled every moment we shared together.

But ever since this Ledisma came and wrecked my adulthood exposing me to the public, mysterious and suspicious events started crashing back to me.

Until I was led to where I am now. Amontay...

He was wearing his white button down shirt and black trousers.

Doctor talaga ang datingan.

"Bakit ka nandito?" I collected myself and acted rudely. He didn't take me seriously.

He chuckled.

"You did that?" He asked, looking at the wall behind me. Ngumuso ako at na conscious bigla. For the first time, I don't feel confident with my painting.

Dahandahan akong tumango. He also nodded, fascinated as he was still looking at my painting. His both hands were on his waist. I felt so small waiting for a final verdict.

"You paint so good." He sounded so amazed. Nagliwanag agad ang mukha ko. "You haven't finished it yet but it looks satisfying already."

"It's time for lunch, you did very well." He said still smiling. Nakakapanibago ang pag ngiti n'ya sakin ah. But it felt so good.

"Saan tayo kakain?" Wala akong natandaang may karenderya akong nadaanan kanina.

"I brought food, the people must be preparing them by now." He said throwing a glance outside. Napatingin na rin ako roon. I saw people around a long table. Hindi ko masyadong maaninag ang ginagawa nila.

Lazi held my hand as he intertwined our fingers. Napatingin ako roon. There was like a spark when my hand was contacted to his, parang na kuryente ang puso ko. He has this effect on me, hindi ko alam kung ginayuma na ba ako o ano. I haven't felt this with my past boyfriends.

Napatitig ako sa katabi ko. Happiness was evident in his eyes, I could tell he's genuine. May good news kaya? He's extra glowing today.

Women were wearing plastic gloves, outlining the toppers on the rice. May mga seafood, I saw roasted chicken, fruits and kinilaw, pater.

Napabaling ako agad kay Lazi na namamangha. I caught him staring at me.

"Ang tagal na noong huli kong nakasali sa ganito." I couldn't contain the happiness I felt inside. His eyes roamed around my face as if he was mesmerized by something until it landed on my lips.
