Zakiyah POV
I almost tripped as I tried to waddle down the stairs.
"Lemme help you"Zaire said holding my hands and taking me down the stairs.
"Thanks Zaire" I said after we made it down.
"Anything for the pregnant roach" He said and I smacked him.
I'm 5 months pregnant with my baby boy. I've been living with my dad and brothers, Zephaniah, Zaire and Zacari.
I grew up in a house full of boys since my mother left after giving birth to Zephaniah who is now 14. Zacari is 16 and Zaire is 21.
Growing up with a bunch of boys was fun, but they all mad over protective. When I had told em what happened with Sincere they were pissed. Took me weeks to calm them down.
"Hey Zakiyah" Zacari said.
"Wassah lil bro" I said patting him on the head.
"Nun, but you wanna take me to DQ?" He asked
"Why?" I asked.
"I'm hungry as a bitch" He said.
"Same" I heard. I looked to see my youngest brother Zephaniah.
"Hey Baby bro" I said patting his head.
"Not a baby but hey" He said.
"Let Zaire take ya'll, bring me back some food tho oh and get me a Oreo blizzard" I said.
I went and sat on the couch and watched Netflix.
Few minutes later the door opened and my dad walked in.
"Hey baby" He said hugging me and kissing my cheek.
"Wassup dad?" I asked.
"Nothing, and how's little man?" He asked referring to my son.
"He's good, kicking a lot" I said. He chuckled.
"He's gon be coming soon, you ready fuh dat?" He asked.
"Yeh, wanna take me shopping for him?" I asked.
"Naw, Imma let the boys take you, I got sum work" He said and I nodded. I went to my room an put on some sweatpants.
I waited in my room for my brothers to come back so we could head to the mall.

Two Weeks Later
I walked into the place that my dad told me to go to. I walked into the empty room and look around.
Maybe he isn't here' I thought
My thoughts were inturupted by people jumping and shouting 'SURPRISE'
"Huh?" I asked confused.
"You like it?" Someone asked.
I looked to see my dad and brothers.
"Awe you guys" I said pulling them into a group hug.
"Enjoy your baby shower Zakiyah" Zephaniah said.
"I will Zepho, thank you" I said.
"I try" He said popping his collar and I laughed.
"We love you ZiZi" Zaire said.
"I love ya'll too" I said tearing up.
"And she's finna cry" My dad said.
"Shut up" I said wiping my tears.
"Thanks everyone" I said turning to all of the guests.
I went and got something to eat and for the rest of the night we played games, talked, and ate. It was perfect but it was missing a few people.
I sat in my chair and got out my phone.I clicked on the person's contact and waited for them to accept the face time.
"Hello" She said
"Hey mamas" I said.
"Kiyah" She yelled putting her face into the camera.
"Yes, It's me" I said chuckling.
"OMG I miss you so fucking much" She said.
"I miss you too" I said tears coming to my eyes.
"What you up to?" She asked.
"My famo threw me a surprise baby shower" I said
"Awe, that's cute" She said.
"Yeh, it's missing a few people tho" I said.
"After Lil man is born, you won't have to worry bout that" She said.
"I gotta dip, but I love you bestie" I said.
"I love you too hoe" She said and I chuckled.
I hung up the phone and smiled to myself.
I got up and went to find some food but bumped into someone.
"I'm so sorry" I said.
"It's cool" I heard. I looked up to see someone and I was shocked. I didn't expect to see him here.
"Max?" I asked.
"In the flesh" He said. I hugged him.
I haven't seen Max since the 8th grade. He was in our friend group along with Kaliyah and Devani.
"I missed you so much, We thought you died or sum" I said and he laughed.
"Naw, I got expelled and move schools and houses." He explained and I nodded.
"How's things now?" I asked.
"Good, I got a kid with my baby momma" He said.
"Good for you, where they at?" I asked.
"Ova here" He said walking to someplace as I followed him.
"Baee" He said .
This super short girl turned around with a baby on her hip.
"This Za'Kiyah, the pregnant lady" He said and I slapped him.
"Hi, I'm Jamie" She said.
"Nice to meet you, who is this cutie?" I asked.
"This is Omali" She said.
"Awe,He's adorable" I said.
"Thanks, If you don't mind me asking where is yo baby daddy?" She asked.
"California" I replied.
"Oh" She said getting the point.
"Well it was good catching up with you Max and good meeting you Jamie and you Omali" I said
I walked away and wiped the tear that fell from my eye.
I just hope that things will get better when my baby is born.
