So, since I wanted to focus on other relationships besides romantic ones in this book, I decided to mix it up a little.

@CapHaru had asked me quite some time ago if I could write a oneshot about Nya and Kai's sibling relationship. Well, things got pretty busy, especially with my book and all, so I wasn't able to update this book as often.

But, alas, I was given the perfect opportunity with @MasterofCupcakes 's Challenge. Basically, you have to do something nice for a person!

Also, I haven't seen S4 in like two years, and I always wondered where Nya/Wu/I'm assuming Kai and Lloyd stayed when the team broke up. Apparently, the Wiki says it's in Garmadon's old Monastery, so that's what I'm going with.

I always saw people writing the famous S10 scene when writing about the two, so why not try something different?

So yeah, let me give you an angst warning before we start...!

Onto the story!

Third POV

Kai opened the Monastery's gate, only to be greeted by that very same sight. An empty, abandoned field surrounding the wooden building, as everything was quiet around him.

He took off the wrestler's mask that covered the top part of his face, taking his backpack and holding it in his hand.

Going through the main entrance, he was greeted by a familiar scene. Sensei Wu, Sensei Garmadon and Lloyd were all sitting in the small table, drinking tea peacefully without saying a word. Once they noticed Kai though, their smiles turned into frowns.

"Welcome home," Wu said. "Why so late?"

He shrugged. "Some people can't take losing," he said. "I can't stand that place, honestly."

"Does that mean you might wanna join the team again?" Lloyd popped in with a smile.

His father silenced him with a stare, while Kai only looked at the ground.

"Where's Nya?"

"I believe she's still training outside..." Garmadon said with a sigh. "She's been training since morning."

"What do you mean since morning? It's like 6 PM!" And without another word, he left.

He navigated his way through the house, eventually making his way to the supposed 'back yard' of the Monastery. There she was, his sister, still training after all these hours.

Although Sensei Garmadon's Monastery was pretty old, some of the training equipment was in a rather good condition. Of course, they weren't as advanced as the ones Jay and Nya made back at their old Monastery, but they still did their job. A few training dummies were all she needed, really.

He watched her as she knocked yet another one to the ground, throwing it on the side along with all the other broken ones.

Firmly grasping her shoulder, she let out a gasp, quickly turning around to face him. Once she realised who she was, though, her face turned blank and she continued training.

"You need to stop training."

"I'm fine."

"Come on, it's like 6 PM. You need to stop."

Her eyes suddenly widened as she pushed both him and the training dummy aside, hurrying to get inside.

He followed her inside the house as they passed by the rest in the dining room, even though they ignored them. She went into one of the small bedrooms, quickly closing the door behind her.

It wasn't long till he headed inside as well. Everything was dark, yet there was a rather bright light coming from the old TV.

Walking closer to his sister, who was lying on the small bed, he finally noticed what was playing on TV.

"You're seriously watching that?" he gestured at the game show that was playing on TV. But before he could say anything else, the host appeared.

"Oh, so that's why you're watching..."

"Just get out. Don't you have some wrestling to do?"

"Not when you're upset," he sat next to her, tossing the covers over them. "Honestly, that tux is worse than Zane's apron..."

His eyes widened seeing her frown. "I'm sorry," he sighed. "I'm not over it either."

She stayed silent. "Come on, what's wrong?" She just kept staring at the TV. A single tear rolled down her cheek before she broke down.

He hugged her as she cried into his chest, turning off the TV.

"I ruined everything," she whispered.

"You didn't. We all did, Nya."

"I broke the team apart, okay? I hurt their feelings!"

"It was their fault too, you know," he said. "Besides, you know the Overlord messed with those machines."

"And I was stupid enough to believe them..." she whimpered. "And now Zane's dead, and they both hate me, and you're just a mess and-"

"Calm down."

"I just want to forget everything..." she rested her head on his shoulder, her voice still shaky.

"Let's just take it slowly," he said. "Let's start with them."

She shook her head, but he ignored her. "I know you never liked Cole. It's kind of obvious, really."

"I know... It's just that Pixal said that it was accurate, and it seemed so real, and-"

"Again, the Overlord messed with the machine. I bet if you tried it now it would show Jay."

"It wouldn't show anyone. He hates me too..." she hugged her knees, looking at the now black screen.

"Knowing Jay, he'd never hate you. Seriously, you should have seen his heart eyes whenever you were together. He was like a lovestruck puppy."

She couldn't help but chuckle, though it didn't last for long. "Well, it's too late now..." she said. "How come you're standing up for him anyways?"

"I guess you guys grew on me. You were both happy, we all saw that."

"I guess you could say that..."

"That doesn't sound certain to me. Did he do anything bad?"

She shook her head. "The opposite. He was just too good for me, I guess."

He looked at her, and he couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?!" she gave him a glare.

His laughter soon died down. "He literally said the exact same thing about you," he said, wiping a fake tear off his face.

"I'm being serious," she said. "I was just not used to someone loving me that much. I mean, I liked him, a lot, but I was just too overwhelmed and of course I had to screw it up-"

"Stop," he grabbed her shoulders. "You're blabbering more than him."

She nodded, looking down again. "Let's just not talk about that," he said. "Do you want to talk about anything else?"

She shook her head. "Can you just stay for a little longer?"

He smiled, grabbing one of the fallen pillows from the floor. "Just go take a bath first. You smell worse than me."

She chuckled, giving him a hug. "Thanks, porcupine."

"No problem, stinky."

She headed out of the room, leaving the door half-open. Having nothing else to do, he turned on the TV again.

Jay was once again in the camera's view, putting on that very same fake smile. He could see the emptiness in his eyes, like he had lost all hope.

He stared at the screen, before changing the channel.
